Omg this food incredible! So flavorful and fresh. The arepa was beautiful: sightly crispy on the outside and soft and buttery on the inside. The pork was so juicy and bursting with flavor. The generous amount of cheese was freshly shredded which made it so rich and indulgent. The avocado added extra creaminess. The spicy sauce was the perfect touch for herby freshness and and slight kick. I’ve never eaten this good in a food court. I can’t wait to come back.

Went to Southridge mall and decided to order from here. I understand I got there at opening and expected a 10-15min wait for food. However I waited well over 30 mins for my order which was not even done properly. The young man kept asking me to repeat my order and even modified my order because somethings were not ready like their black beans. So my arepa was literally just meat and 3 pieces of plantain. If the set up wasn’t ready and I was told that then I would’ve chosen something else to eat in the food court but I was not. I’m very well disappointed in this experience and this will definitely make me think twice about coming again. Just disappointing and frustrating. Not sure if I would recommend this place due to service.

Quality, tasty food found guilty in the Mall’s Food Court. I ❤️ empanadas so when i saw this place there was no way I wasnt going! Expectations were low since it was in a mall food court…but i was wrong! Empanadas are made fresh (they literally flatten the dough fresh, fill it, & fry it up) the dough is moist thick & sweeter than im used to with other empanadas. I thought it was an “adjustment” to aid in the process of making fresh empanandas. But, I was told this is typpical Venezualen style of the empanada dough. Food was not too sweet, salty, or over fattening. Fillings were chicken, beef, or pork…and again seemingly non-processed. Like they cooked and shredded the meat off the bone. Dinner was served wit blackbean, rice, & perfectly ripened fried plaintains. I will definitly be back when in the area. My only wish is they come up with a non-typical fountain drink selection.

I ordered from UberEats. I would’ve given this a higher rating because the food itself wasn’t actually bad. The chicken may look dry but it’s actually quite flavorful but if you see the burnt crumbs in the corner, those are supposed to be Maduras or sweet plantains. The fact that whoever was working there tonight even put these on my plate is appalling. I obviously couldn’t eat them. It wouldn’t have taken long to just make more.

I was just about to write a 5 star review for the amazing food here when I discovered a bug in the passionfruit juice. Will not be back despite how good the empanadas were. Please see the attached photo

Holy cow! Stopped here on a whim (I’m never at the mall) and was so overwhelmed by how tasty the vegan arepa is! Service was great, fresh lemonade was delicious, and the entire place is well kept. The gentleman that was working was very kind. I will definitely be coming back, I wish I knew this gem was here sooner

So good! We got the first arepa on the menu and a chicken and avocado arepa and they gave us an empanada to try. It was really fun to try Venezuelan food and so delicious! I loved the cilantro sauce omg I’ll be thinking about it for days. Lots of nice cozy seating around the fireplace. It’s in the Brookfield Square food court across from a local Indian counter serve that also looks excellent. We’ll be back!

Find gluten free goodness at this amazing Venezuelan place in the Brookfield Square food court! Arepas are usually gluten-free and I verified with the owner that these are made with no wheat flour. The version served here is as authentic as they come. We tried four different flavors: chicken, pork, beef and black beans. All were stuffed to bursting with delicious, clearly fresh ingredients. The meats were all succulently juicy and mildly spiced. The black beans also had plantains (which the owner graciously prepared on the grill instead of in the fryer to keep them gluten free). Everything was delectable. Since the arepas are made fresh when you order, you might have to wait 5-10 minutes but it’s well worth it. I suggest you sip a cup of their passion fruit juice while you wait, golden refreshment that is so much better than any of the sodas you’ll find elsewhere.

First time there an I’ll most definitely be coming back. Absolutely amazing and authentic Venezuelan dishes. Ordered the Yaracuy and it’s full of flavor. The fried plantains are my absolute favorite. So simple but yet delicious. Arepa’s Place is most definitely a gem hidden in Brookfield Square.
