I want to start by saying the waiter was great — cool dude, good service.
But the food itself? Absolutely not it.
I ordered the nachos and what I got looked nothing like real Mexican food. It was basically soggy chips, a little melted cheese, refried beans, some lettuce, and a few pieces of steak thrown on top. No tomatoes, no onions, no real toppings, nothing fresh. They tried to charge extra for salsa, extra for limes, and even $1.50 just because it was to-go.
I’m from Chicago — I know what real Mexican food is supposed to taste like. These nachos were nowhere near worth the $25 price tag. Honestly, it tasted like leftover ingredients mixed in a foil pan.

I think this is a newer restaurant, as I was told a pizza place was in here before. The food was decent, but the inside looked less like a Mexican restaurant than most I’ve seen. The service was adequate, but my chips weren’t replaced with a new batch when I finished and my drink wasn’t refilled until the end of my meal. My burrito grande was pretty good, though I’ve had far better. The salsa was runny; very watery. I wouldn’t go out of my way to return here, but I would come back.

Me and my gf come here all the time, but we just found a cockroach in our food. They didn’t apologize when we showed them, they just took the plate back and acted like nothing happened. We were waiting 10 minutes for them to come back to talk to us so we just walked out. I would never recommend coming here, they’re unprofessional and obviously they are unsanitary.

Ordered steak chicken and shrimp fajitas..with refried beans and rice and pico de gallo…3 flour tortillas…when food came out there was chicken and steak pieces on hot plate and literally 2 shrimp for 3 tortillas…very disappointing to say least ..really 2 shrimp not even one shrimp per tortilla..you gotta do better …with cost of this plate should have more …just saying …it tasted great but not sure why so stingy .

We stopped through town on the way back from the farm expo. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered fajitas, the giant burrito, the chimichanga, and some queso fundido. Everything was delicious and freshly made. Out of everything, the fajitas and queso fundido were the best if we had to rank them. We also order a pitcher of margaritas which was also very good.
The restaurant filled up while we were there – all tables full – with people also picking up to go orders. Definitely one of the better Mexican restaurants I’ve been to in a while.

Food is blan and extremely over priced. In my experience, they almost always mess something up on our order. This time i ordered carryout, and when i paid it was 25% more expensive than what it says online. Its worth the drive to go to La Cascada in Arthur, Illinois…Best mexican food and service around.

Waiter was inattentive, we had to ask for every little thing and the waiter was visibly annoyed. If it was great service and only good food I would go back., but pretty good food and hostile waiter- no way. Go to this restaurant if you want to see what it’s like to be treated like you’re a nuisance to the staff.

we have been here twice had horrible rude service wouldn’t even look at you when taking orders or giving food. i paid 18$ for one meal that meal only being two chicken tacos and a side of rice how pathetic. THen when i asked why my bill was so high he couldn’t even explain to me what i got and what i was paying for its horrible and the service sucks.Also after telling them i didn’t like monzrella cheese and i would like the cheese sauce they didn’t even make new they just put it on top .
