The food and atmosphere where excellent. If you can take off the blinders and come here definitely ask for a recommendation on a food option. You can get hummus and pitas everywhere but the lamb dishes were on point. The serving sizes are plentiful.

This was my first time trying Yemen food and it was sooo good! I got the chicken mendi which was falling off the bone tender. My frriend got the meat fahsa and that was amazing! The chicken mendi was really good but I’m honestly sad that I didn’t get the meat fahsa because it was incredible and the best lamb dish I’ve ever had by a long shot.

I had the chicken mendi and tabbouleh at this Yemeni restaurant, and everything was excellent. The food was full of delicious spices, served beautifully, and the portions were generous. The chicken was fresh, tender, and had no off-putting smell—just rich flavor.
The environment was clean and comfortable, without overwhelming food odors, which I really appreciated. The staff were friendly and quick with the order. Overall, a great dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

So affordable! Two people enjoyed hot tea and more than we could eat for less than $40 including tip.

We ordered platter for 2 people, paid almost 30$ and got this! No salad, quantity is only good for 1 person. Disappointed.

Our daughter chose this restaurant for her birthday. She likes to sample food from different regions of the world and this year it was Yemen. Our group of five ordered lamb, chicken shawarma, grilled chicken, and chicken kabob. Everything tasted very good and there was plenty left over to take home. The service was excellent. There are seating options that include sitting on the floor on cushions. Some of us are a bit too creaky in the bones to choose that option so we sat at a table.
This was our first time and probably not our last.

First time her, just amazing food. Met the chef, he explained to me how yemen cooking differs from Egyptian & north African techniques. Spie seasoning is unique. I recommend you try the meal that I had!!!

I am so pleased with my experience! This was my first time having food from Yemen. It was tasty and served so fresh. I highly recommend. I had the Meat Fahsa (I ordered it with medium spice), it came out boiling hot, with rice, and a tea to finish it off! Friendly and helpful staff.

We came here randomly to try it. I lived in Turkey and wondered how similar or different the food might be. It was incredible. The food is very similar to Turkish food, however the flavors at this place were so vibrant. Everything made in house, the meat cooked over a wood fire, and even the deserts were crafted in house. This food was insanely delicious- I’ve not had a meal this incredible in a very long time. It’s all reasonably priced as well. Can’t recommend this place enough, we will definitely be back. So good.
