We ordered the beef noodle soup, Sichuan chicken, fried rice and salt and pepper tofu. The beef noodle soup did not take likes traditional Lu Rou Mian the sichuan chicken tasted great but not as crispy as it could have been and the tofu had minimal flavor.

I’ve lived in Concord for the last three years and could not find any Chinese food tasted good. Finally found one fried rice was on point and the sweet-and-sour chicken was delicious. 9 out of 10 must try again

Yan’s China Bistro & Bar is a standard American Chinese restaurant. The restaurant caters to the American taste. The bar is the highlight of the restaurant. We had high expectations when we went to dine at this restaurant. The ratings were 4.5. After dining we thought it was over rated. The food was bland and tasteless. Maybe we ordered the wrong food. Please try this restaurant and determine for your self. The service was exceptional and the food was served hot.

This place is a JEWEL. The staff is sooo accommodating. The food is the best I’ve had in years. Hot and sour soup with a flavorful broth, veggies and tofu that my hubs actually enjoyed eating. Perfectly cooked rice, deliciously seasoned broccoli beef and mu shu pork – tender meat, crunchy vegetables, and plum sauce that isn’t overly salted. They really care about what they put in front of you and it shows. We ate there on Sunday and Wednesday of the same week. I wish they were closer to San José. But since they are not, any trip through the East Bay will have to include a meal at Yan’s.

Order Through Doordashed, food came well packaged. Salt and Pepper Pork Chop were really good. As for the sweet n sour, I wish they put more sauce.
Would have been nice to have some spring rolls instead of a Salade (salade dressing is tasty) . Maybe add that option or soup .

Disappointing Chinese food. Had hoped for more in the Bay Area. Maybe I should have tried something in San Francisco itself. Had the Mongolian beef which was almost tasteless and the spicy tofu – what a joke – spicy??? It was pretty much as tasteless as the Mongolian beef. I had to ask for chili paste to spice it up. Best part of the meal was probably the white rice. Would not return here. The photo may make it look good, but don’t be fooled.

Very friendly and extremely fast service. Too bad the food is just blah!
For instance, i had the chicken in spicy mango and all i could taste was the cloying sweetness of the sauce (no heat at all!) And the thick cornstarch coating they fried the overly large chicken pieces in.

Enjoyed the sweet and sour pork and the chicken chow mein. For appetizers enjoyed the pot stickers and the wontons filled with crab and cream cheese. It was delicious and authentic! The service was wonderful and the ambience of restaurant was warm and inviting. There is parking at the rear with entrance at left side of building. There is a painted mural in the outdoor rear patio which is the entry from the parking lot.
