Shop local and eat at this restaurant! We got the jumbo stuffed turkey leg, the pulled pork sandwich, and a cup of smoked macaroni and cheese; all were amazing! The food, service, and atmosphere were all great. Our server, Alexis, was awesome and the owner stopped to talk with us for a while. He gave us so many great recommendations for places to go and things to do here. This is by far our favorite restaurant in Covington. If you love yourself, you will go check this place out (:

First let me start by saying I have lived most of my life in the Memphis area, so it takes a lot to impress me with bbq. This was the best pulled pork I have ever had anywhere. My wife and I were in Covington for a day trip and saw the smoke coming from uptown and I’m so glad we stopped in. Great small town gem atmosphere and fantastic food. It’s worth the drive.

So I’m from the Midwest, and I have not experienced Tennessee cooking until just yesterday. I am going to say this from the bottom of my heart, that the experience I have had there, was excellent! The service was fantastic, which perfectly complemented the atmosphere greatly. And that food, mmmmmmmmmm that food. The moment I bit into that pork sandwich, it felt like the Lord above was speaking to me. I now know what BBQ pork is supposed to taste like, and when I come back to Memphis I will be coming back to this location, hungry for more.

My husband and I dined here today for lunch. The food and experience was absolutely amazing! The food was so delicious that I want to go back tomorrow for dinner. My husband had the brisket sandwich, cole slaw, and baked beans. I tried his brisket and coleslaw and both were 100/10. I had the catfish, okra, and potato salad and everything was so delicious! Alexis and Kelvin were so welcoming and friendly! We will definitely be back!

Passed by on the side street it looks like just a BBQ stand, but go into the corner entrance and you’ll find a dining room and restaurant. As with any new place i started with a BBQ sandwich place and was really pleased. They offer four levels of sauces and i picked the medium, just below their hot and it was spicy enough for me. I got the brisket sandwich plate with beans and okra . It was amazing food . Im so glad I seen this place and the two at the shop was amazing people to talk to while getting our food . Thank you both for your hospitality . We came from Indiana and it’s hard to find brisket but we found it . I recommend this place

It was some of the best BBQ that I had in a very long time. The service is the pure definition of southern hospitality. It’s one of those places where you know the food is good because you can smell the smoke from the grill. I highly recommend it!!!
