First impression walking in wasn’t great. The tables were a little dirty, the space is very small and felt a bit cramped, and service started off a little slow. The atmosphere also isn’t ideal for conversation since the music is pretty loud.

That said, the food completely made up for it. The sushi was absolutely phenomenal and exceeded my expectations. The hand rolls were delicious, the eel was fantastic, and the salmon tasted fresh and flavorful. The scallops were good quality, though I personally didn’t love the mayonnaise mix on them — just a bit too buttery for my taste.

As the night went on, the service improved a lot. We had a large order, so the wait was a little longer than usual, but the staff was very accommodating.

Overall, not the best first impression or ambiance, but the food is excellent. If you care most about high-quality sushi, this place is definitely worth trying.

Cozy spot with metered street parking. There’s a handful of tables inside but we were able to get seated during lunch time. Our total was around $33 for our meal which isn’t so bad for what we had. The sushi had thick but tender slices of fish which surprised us since we ordered a lunch combo. Everything tasted just as you’d expect. The gyoza was nice and crispy. They also had milk tea here but we didn’t get to order

This is our favorite sushi spot in Santa Ana for a few reasons. First, the sushi is impeccably good. I’m typically disappointed with Tomago Sushi but here? It’s fantastic. It tastes exactly the way I imagine it SHOULD taste, if not better. Second, the service is super fast and friendly. Warning though: this place is tiny. The whole restaurant is the size of a walk-in closet. There’s usually only one server who looks like he’s 19, but he’s fast and very nice. It’s never crowded though! I’ve never had to wait to sit. Finding a decent place to park nearby CAN be challenging, cause it’s metered parking in the downtown area, but every time we’ve gone we’ve always found a spot a reasonable distance next to one of those historical buildings. Highly recommend!!

A small slice of an urban sushi vibe and very cool to see the local high schoolers making their own. Good sushi selection very fresh.

Amazing food and wonderful staff. Got the tempura soft shell crab as an appetizer and some maki rolls. It’s very good quality and such a cute atmosphere. I finished off with a taro bubble tea that was so refreshing.

Ordered a dinner bento that came with pork katsu, California rolls, garden salad and miso soup.

Everything was fresh and tasty. The katsu was crunchy yet juicy, and the rolls were made well with nicely seasoned rice.

The place is decorated nicely, and service was prompt and friendly.

I’m always afraid of trying new places so when my go to sushi restaurant closed I had no idea where to go. I ordered from Koco Sushi and it became my new local go to spot. I’ve been ordering from here for over a year or so. The playboy roll and salmon special are my top picks, the playboy is so SO delicious I could cry. The staff is also very friendly as well! I order from here every month when I wanna reward myself, I’m always spending at least $100 because I love so many of their rolls I can’t help myself and I know you’ll enjoy it too.

First time coming here for pickup and found a hair! Luckily the worker there refunded me that item but it was sad that I couldn’t try that dish. Overall it was still good sushi.

Decided to try this spot out based on the reviews and it did not disappoint!! First & Foremost the service was impeccable! Carlos was super friendly, helpful and charismatic! We ordered spicy edamame, teriyaki bento box w/ spicy Cali roll, Fuego roll, & Yellowtail Carpaccio. Everything was absolutely delicious! The yellowtail was fresh and melted like butter. The edamame & miso was perfect temperature! Definitely recommend this small family business!!
