We visited this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and had a very pleasant experience. Our server, Bhogwan, was attentive and prompt throughout the meal. The food tasted great, portions were satisfying, and the prices were fair. Seating is somewhat limited for dine-in.
Overall, a good experience and we’d be happy to return.

Spring Rolls
4/10
Basic frozen Spring Rolls, overall not bad. Came with a great dipping sauce!

Chili Cheese Pops
7.5/10
Really good! It was more of a fried, well spiced, dough ball with corn. Loved the homemade Chili Sauce that came with it!

Pad Thai
2/10
Had a odd smell, moved it around to find mouldy baby corn, couldn’t finish it after that. Ruined my appetite.

Recently visited Marigold Restaurant. The food was quite good – I tried the veg biryani, naan, and veg kofta curry, and everything was flavorful and well-prepared. The ambience was decent, nothing too fancy but comfortable enough for a relaxed meal. Overall, a good experience!

We had been to Pembroke for the long weekend and came across this hidden gem. The food was excellent. Garlic Gobhi was to die for! We had ordered a lot of mains and appetizers as we were famished, but the service was super fast. The naan especially was super soft and yum. Fantastic and filling food, with equally fast service. Would definitely visit again.

Tried the chicken biryani, lamb biryani, and butter chicken – all were excellent ! The lamb biryani stood out as the star dish, with incredibly flavorful and tender meat. The chicken biryani was good, but the lamb version definitely took the top spot. Butter chicken was also a tasty addition to the meal. Generous portions, great spices, and overall a satisfying dining experience. Highly recommend trying the lamb biryani if you visit.

I have had the opportunity to try many Indian food restaurants. Marigold’s Indian cuisine is excellent. Perfectly spiced, and very satisfying. I will definitely eat here again. I encourage locals who have not tried Indian food, to give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

Sweet place, some dishes could definitely be better, but most dishes are just perfect.

It could be a personal preference deal, but I dislike the fact that many dishes are a combination of multiple cuisines. The chef however is excellent and always segregates cuisines, and prepares the dishes when asked.

Biryani could definitely use some work.

Overall, should definitely try the food there!

Enjoyed the Goat Rogan Josh. Portions was smaller than I’m used to but the dish was very flavorful. Atmosphere is lacking. The small dining area is very dark and the windows need a good cleaning. The restaurant needs to be more welcoming (ie tablecloths or other coverings). Wishing the best for their success.

Cannot give a five star

But can say: this will be the best indian food spot you will have for miles.

Employee was nice
Food was good! Enjoyed it.

Garlic bread side only comes with (3)
Sucks to share when you are 2 people.

Size of plates are good for sharing and trying different things off the menu!

This is definitely more a To-go spot.

The joint was humid and uncomfortable! Worst lighting, no a/c …. to balance it out nicely however, no music which was nice. But the guys sitting next to us were talking SO loud and it is a SMALL place. Couldn’t eat outside due to heavy rain and only 2 picnic table seatings ( yes with umbrella )

Overall, if they maximized the indoors and changed the decor, added a/c this would be a 5/5 experience

I highly recommend delivery or grab to-go

A Very Honest Review

I had no expectations coming here and am fairly new to Indian-styled cuisine however I’ve made some dishes from scratch: Chicken Korma, Butter Chicken, and a few more. While I’m no chef I can say I’ve made better. Ate a quarter of the dish and had to throw the rest out just too spicy and well… plain.

My order was –

Butter Chicken – $17 plus tax
2 pieces of Garlic Naan Bread – $6 plus tax
And a side of small rice.

The Good
– Super nice employee
– Fast…but is that good?

The Bad

The PRICE is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for the portions. This isn’t five-star dining, as most of the tables inside weren’t even clean.

Fresh?

There is no way it’s fresh when it takes 7 minutes from order to being served. The first thing I heard was the pop of a microwave and the warming up of what seemed to be the main dish. Why you ask? Well for starters the chicken was sitting in the sauce for some time as you can see that the sauce has bled into the meat.

Mild?

For a mild dish, it’s extremely on the hot side.

I hate to say it but this was not that good. Even if It was free I wouldn’t change my mind but for 35 bucks?!

I NEVER leave reviews or bad comments but this was just mind-boggling, especially for the price. Do yourself a favor, buy fresh chicken breast, a jar of chicken korma sauce from no frills, or “make fresh” and you’ll enjoy it a lot more.

I’m sorry but for 35 bucks which includes a tip I can say I will never eat out here again and that I’m extremely disappointed.

As for other dishes I can’t speak on other dishes but this dish and its price is a no-go.
