The food was very excellent. I enjoyed a variety of appetizers. The fresh fruit was also great. The service came with a smile which is always a plus. The waiter was very attentive. He had a sincere sense of urgency to ensure that the food was satisfying. I will keep returning. Alejandro is a great Chef who takes pride in his work. I truly liked his tacos. He is customer friendly. Alejandro takes feedback from everyone and is open to suggestions. This restaurant is hidden gem within Le Meridian.

We love this restaurant! We stayed at Le Meridien hotel for a month while our home was being repaired and ate at the restaurant many times. Lamb chops, steak, hamburger were all top quality. Salmon was superb. Soups homemade and delicious. We even come back now just to eat at Portico! Service was great. Beautiful ambience. I would give it 10 stars and we are foodies and know good quality. Chef is European and delivers fresh food and beautiful presentations. Try it!

My husband and I made brunch reservations at Portico for our anniversary. Upon arrival, we were informed that the dining room was closed, and that we would be having our meal in the lobby. Considering one of the main reasons that I booked this restaurant was because of the beautiful patio-style seating area, this was very disappointing. I don’t see why they didn’t inform us of this change ahead of time. Regardless, we elected to stay as finding another last-minute brunch location on a Sunday morning would not be an easy task, and we were looking forward to “a fresh menu of eclectic, globally inspired cuisine sourced from farms and artisanal producers both locally and abroad.” Unfortunately, what we got was overcooked frozen chicken fingers (the chicken and waffles dish) and three exceptionally small, oily pancakes with dry, room temperature berries. The server was very nice and attentive, but that was really the only saving grace. We will not be returning.

We are Atlantans and stayed at the hotel while our home was being renovated. We loved Portico. We ate there several times. Food is top notch with very personal service. It is a well hidden treasure. We liked it so much, we decided to have my husband’s 50th birthday party there. Great food, great ambiance, with stellar service. We’re shocked by the negative reviews.

Offered poor choice of tables in the middle when plenty were open by the window. They remained empty throughout our meal. Over an hour to get a pretty, but poor quality salad in a half empty restaurant. $42 entree was cold. “Roasted” veggies actually still chilled. Entree luke warm at best. They tried to bring me a “new” one a few minutes later. Not possible without a microwave. No thanks. Shared my husband’s salmon (which was good) and got the check. Won’t be back.

Phyliss had an amazing customer service. Super friendly, fast, efficient. Stayed in the hotel for 2 weeks and she was always ready with my routine order along with coffee. Made me feel like home.

As I’ve worked in many restaurants in Atlanta, I never write bad reviews; but I’ve never been treated so rudely.
Parking is $14/car unless you come on Fri/Sat.
Called to ask about parking on Monday, as the only parking nearby without a tow warning sign was $14, to see if it was validated but the host on the phone was extremely rude and just told us to park there. I asked if it would be validated and he hung up. Went inside to ask but the hosts/ server was extremely rude, the manager came out at the end to help the situation but there are so many other restaurants in the area we decided to leave. The restaurant was completely empty for a reason…Not worth $14/car to go to lunch.
