This is the best Mexican food restaurant in Hot Springs Village. If you can find better service come and get me to verify it. Other places (bar next door), needs to learn from the El Jimador model of business. A much needed renovation several years ago did wonders for El Jimador. The food is real solid as well.

Great Food, Great Service!
We are back in HSV visiting and just had our 2nd delicious meal here. We were here 4 months ago and had a great experience, so I knew I wanted to come back. Sophia was our waitress and she was great!
I had the Ranchero Jalisco (beef, shrimp and chicken over a bed of rice/peppers, covered in a delicious cheese topping. My wife had some cheese enchiladas with 2 types of salsa toppings along with a crispy taco and side of rice.
Not only was Sophia great, but our host came and checked on us a few times also, ensuring we had everything we needed!

When we started coming here a year and a half ago the food was great. We loved it. Over the past eight months it has gone downhill. We live five minutes away from the store. We will put in a pick up order. They tell us to be there in 20 minutes. We get there in five. The food is already ready for us and when we get it back home five minutes later it’s cold and makes everybody in the house sick. This has happened the past three times we have ordered for this restaurant. We will not eat there anymore.

We ordered fajitas on takeout last nite for dinner in my order I got 3 tortillas and not enough meat to fill 1 tortilla. I was charged over fifty dollars for a pan poorly fried onion and other stuff we couldn’t identify. Never again for this place. And will tell all my friends and coworkers

El Jimador is a great spot for a quick and tasty meal! We stopped by while enjoying the outdoors and were very satisfied. The food was delicious, served quickly, and the staff did a great job. Perfect place to enjoy Mexican cuisine without a long wait. Well done!

September 19 went to hear music and have dinner. The band was not good they sing out of tune and talk to much. The food was not good. Order chili verde the meat was hard and not chunky. The rice was good and corn tortillas was good. The drinks was not good. Margaritas taste like juice no liquor and water down drinks. Sorry but we did not like it.

We went on a Sunday at 11. We were seated quickly as there was no wait. However, if you get there around noon the crowds pick up. The service was super fast and our food was brought to us promptly. The taste was wasn’t the best and wasn’t the worst. I would come back for sure.
