The Chicken Lo Mein was a whole other level—loaded with juicy chicken, perfectly chewy noodles, and veggies that still had that fresh crunch. Every bite felt like comfort food with a little flair.
The staff was friendly and the service was quick, even during lunch. Cozy atmosphere, clean tables, and the food came out hot and fresh. Definitely adding this place to my go-to list for takeout and sit-down meals.
If you’re in Albany and want something flavorful, satisfying, and reasonably priced—Yummy House hits the spot.
I would buy this again!
Meal 1
I just finished another wonderful meal at Yummy House. This time I tried the Sezhauan Beef with Fried Rice.
It was a very sizeable portion with lots of meat, vegetables and wonderful flavor.

Meal 2
Yummy House.
First off let me just say when food was picked up they were busy, to go orders lined up, and behind on pickup time. Which I thought was good! Busy is good right? Especially on a busy night like Valentine’s Day. Understandable as I work in food service as well. Until the food came home. We opened up the boxes and were instantly disappointed.
The General Tso’s chicken smelled funky, looked funky and taste was bad. No sesame or greens or garnish at all. My boyfriend refused to eat it and he’s not a picky eater.
The hot and sour soup was the worst I’ve had. No bamboo shoots, soup was brown, cold and there was an unknown bubbly film inside the styrofoam cup.
The pork fried rice was decent, until we got to the pork. Which looked dangerously pale grey instead of BBQ pork red.
The almond chicken subgum was frozen bagged veggies with a watery soup sauce. No good.
We had to air fry the spring rolls, crab puffs and fried shrimp because they were underdone and soggy. Still couldn’t salvage.
The red sauce for the fried shrimp was basically watered down ketchup.
The steamed riced smelled like dish soap. We didn’t even try it.
All in all we ended up paying $55 for the meal plus tip.
Which all ended up in the garbage. After craving Chinese food for days I’m pretty sure this did the trick. I won’t be eating Chinese for a while.
I’m not saying this to bash the company, they were working hard to keep up on orders which I respect. I just want to make others aware of our experience.
Overall 1/10.
Next day 2-15-25
We are now both actively fighting food poisoning. Buyers and foodies beware of this place.
