I ordered the Cajun shrimp pasta. I’ve never been so disappointed in my life.

$23 literally in the trash. I ate the bland 5½ shrimp they gave me and threw out the mushy, tasteless noodles.

I really want a refund because that’s just a big waste of money. I’m sure the cook knew the noodles were way overcooked.

The noodles had this weird failed mac n cheese taste. This definitely wasn’t the Cajun pasta I had before.

This was my second time ordering this dish. I came back because the first time, it was delicious.

Maybe it’s under new ownership or a new cook but they definitely didn’t understand the assignment today, which is very unfortunate.

Well…I guess this happens from time to time as no place is perfect.

I always recommend to try for yourself.

Sad face because I had wasting money.

I took photos but for some reason it’s not giving me the option to upload.

Not a lot of atmosphere. But the service was super friendly and the food was delicious. We got the Jamaican jerk chicken with collard greens and rice. We also got a Jamaican beef patty. Everything was delicious and spicy just the way it should be.

Popped over to Charlotte for a couple of days to enjoy the races and drove past this restaurant which wasn’t far from our Airbnb. The food was amazing – my G-Babies, daughter and I enjoyed the Curry Chicken, Jerk Chicken, Jerk Salmon, Plantains, yams, Steamed Cabbage, Peas & Rice everything was good. First time in Charlotte but if I return again KNOW we will DEFINITELY eat here again!

I bought the jerk chicken with rice and peas and Mac and cheese , Rasta pasta, and oxtail. The Rasta pasta was not edible, it was boiled to the point of being sap and had absolutely no flavor: the oxtail was so tuff it was not edible. I’m not sure if the order was mixed up but the chicken was definitely not jerked, likely stewed. I wasted $67 on a meal that was worse than when I have a bad day cooking in my own kitchen. If I could give the food a negative rating that would be too kind.

I understand that the cost of everything is high and this economy sucks, but come on now I brought two beef patties and a size of Mac and cheese which came up to $15.70! That’s a whole dinner plate for 3 items. Once I got to the Mac and and cheese the container was practically empty! Why sell this as a side in this big container half empty! I will never spend my money with them again and the Mac and cheese is bland. Caribbean hut will forever get my money and they are right down the street.

First time visiting this establishment. I must say when you have had authentic Jamaican cuisine, it is very difficult to accept what’s being sold here in Charlotte. I ordered one large jerk and small curry chicken plates. If you’ve been here you know their average plate cost is about $15. My disappointment was once I reached home, about 45 mins. away I obviously received someone else’s plate. There was mac’ n cheese which I ordered, collards which I did not, beans/rice and no jerk chicken. The curry chicken was more of a shredded/chopped opposed to pieces. Lack the flavor of curry.
Call to report the mistake, staff says there is a sign that encourages people to check their order, sorry didn’t see this one. My expectation is , I order, I pay and I expect to receive my order as requested. I took pictures so that when I return, I would have verification of their error. Bottom line….no refund, come in to receive the correct order. If the drive was worth it I would but not worth the gas. I would like to say to the owners, this won’t last with all of the up and coming restaurant selections in the area. #treatyourcustomersright.

My Dog couldn’t even get the meat off the Oxtails. Worse Oxtails I ever had, hard, no season and the sides were trash. I spent $75. And was soooo disappointed. If you eat here don’t be mad, I told you!

Baby, I got the Large Jerk Chicken meal with rice and peas with mac and cheese and a side order of collards and a beef patty all for $21 so it’s not expensive although the rice, jerk chicken, collards, and the beef patty was gross ! ESPECIALLY the collards, i even tried to add my own seasonings and still .. no ma’am , only decent thing was the mac and cheese. Definitely way better spots you could try, i wouldn’t come here again . I seen another review about them using dye markings on their beef and chicken patties as you can see in the picture there’s a red marking. I do hear good things about their stew chicken though but i cannot say anything because i haven’t tried it.
