We had the opportunity to enjoy Earnest’s Gourmet Donuts today. The 15 mile trek from McKinney was worth it!
We came for the apple cider donuts and were blown away by their pumpkin spiced. The one with frosting is sinfully good .

I’ve been to many donut shops, but Earnest Donuts is the best! They have the best tasting donuts and kolaches — always fresh and full of flavor. The store is always clean, and the interior is warm and inviting. The owners are fantastic people who genuinely care about their customers and make sure everyone feels welcome. Highly recommend!

Amazingly yummy donuts and great customer service! The donuts are actually “Gourmet” creations. Very tasty, amazing texture, delicious. It was our first time at the store and they added a free on-the-house donuts. After packing the donuts in the box, they filled the gaps with free mini donuts. Absolutely great customer service. Highly recommend Ernest Donuts!

If you can try only one thing here, go with the cronut holes. They’re absolutely delicious! Their other speciality donuts offer an adventurous alternative to the usual selection you’d get at other family-owned establishments. Definitely worth checking out if you like fancy, addition to regular, donuts.

I was so sure I had left a review but shocked I didn’t. I was probably too busy eating their amazing donuts! I’ve been here at least 25 times already. These truly are the freshest and best donuts around!!! I called ahead of time because my ETA was 11:57am knowing they close at 12- they stayed open for me. I go almost every week with my son, and it never disappoints. Their service and donuts are both 5/5. Only one time, I felt the donuts were dry and called to let the staff know. The next time, the owner recognized me, and gave me my order on the house. I would highly recommend you do special orders or regular stops here. They even have donuts that say Happy Birthday- perfect to make someone’s day!! They’ll always offer to add filling if they don’t have it out. I have yet to try the coffee, but I know they use coffee ice cubes instead of water ice cubes! At the end, they’ll always throw in a few freebie holes or a donut, and that always makes my day! Also once you redeem their loyalty card, it’s $10 off your purchase!! That’s so much better than just a free donut. Love earnest!!! Thanks for making our mornings great.

DFW is one of the best cities/metro areas for donuts in the country, and Earnest Donuts has the BEST blueberry donut, croissant donuts and apple fritters in DFW. The blueberry crumb (streusal crumble) donut is my favorite cake donut. The Croissant donuts are to die for, and the croissant dough is flaky and pillowy, collapsing and melting in your mouth. The cinnamon sugar croissant donut give a bit more crunch, and glazed is also very good. Apple fritters have fresh apples and warm cinnamon, and the dough is very plush. The dough at Earnest is remarkably consistent in quality, and the balance of flavors and textures is apparent when eating a classic donut or something fancier like the banana cream pie, or smores donut. It’s the quality of the donuts, attention to detail, interesting flavors and friendly staff that keeps me coming back to Earnest Donuts. Looking forward to apple cider this fall. Thanks!

You definitely get your money’s worth here. The price on the kolaches is very wallet friendly. The specialty donuts can get pricey but again, worth the cost in my opinion. Loved the maple bacon cronut. After eating two kolaches and an Oreo donut I had to take the rest home (not complaining). My wife had the Nutella cronut as well as the earl gray donut which was surprisingly good. It was very light and refreshing. She also had one of their specialty coffee drinks and was very happy with it. A little far from where we live but we will be back in the future!

So worth the 30min drive from Denton. Came here for the gluten free donut, which was really good and a good price considering it’s GF. Also was delighted to try the pistachio lemon which are two of my favorite flavors together and they did it right making it a donut version.

Came to Earnest Donuts just to pick up 1 small Orange juice, 2 small Sausage Rolls with cheese and 1 dozen donuts for my son and his friend. $30.00 bucks. Are you serious, $22.00 bucks for a dozen glaze donuts. I have feed his basketball team breakfast sandwiches for cheaper. Never again will they get my business, nor the teams, and especially not the office.

There are times when I just need a box of doughnuts and then there are times when I need the next level. Earnest donuts are next level. They have an amazing selection of innovating samples that are creative to look at. Their favors are all across the board and the seasonal ones are a nice surprise because you never know what they will pop out.
Customer service is always friendly and helpful. It’s a pleasure just to go in. Last time I was in they added some merchandise. Great idea for gifts for those with trendy pop-culture taste.
