TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The hot fried chicken at this location is delicious. The pictures included with this review is for the chicken slider combo. The slider has a kale slaw with Dave’s sauce. The slide in the picture was the “extra hot” version. The heat on the sandwich was respectable (I really like spicy food so my opinion is based off of having a high tolerance for spicy food). They have a scale for how spicy you want the chicken, the staff at the restaurant should be able to help you make a determination on the appropriate spice level for your chicken. The fries were good as well, they have a tasty seasoning. The customer service was good at this location. I’d rate this location a 4.3 stars out 5 stars. I would recommend checking this restaurant out.

After seeing all the hype about Dave’s Hot Chicken, we decided to check it out—and honestly, it lives up to it! The chicken was super fresh and full of flavor. The staff was great too—one of the employees walked us through all the heat levels so we knew exactly what we were getting into.
The place itself was clean, service was quick, and the whole vibe was really laid back. We also loved the wall murals—fun to look at while you’re waiting.
Overall, awesome experience. Definitely not just hype—definitely will be a repeat customer.

Let me be unequivocally clear: this establishment came remarkably close to a flawless five-star rating. The spaciousness, the immaculate restrooms, and the well-maintained parking all painted a picture of meticulous care. But what truly impressed me—and let this be emphasized—was the staff’s command of perfect Spanish. Despite being far removed from any Mexican border, they spoke Spanish with a fluency and authenticity that is rare and commendable.
It’s essential to assert that their bilingual capability wasn’t just a token gesture—it was genuine, accurate, and a testament to their commitment to excellent service, even in a place far from any borderlands.
In short, if not for a single napkin on the floor and a bit of neglect under the drink station rug, they would have claimed that fifth star without hesitation. It was, all in all, a superb experience with a bilingual prowess that truly set them apart.

The food is so delicious! Chicken tender has AMAZING flavor, I ordered mild and it is perfect! If you want a bit hotter, medium is good too! Fries have good seasoning, the bread and sauce is a good combo! I would recommend this place! The portions of the chicken are pretty big and it is amazing for the price!! The pickles are crunchy and juicy, and the sauce is creamy and fits with everything!! 100/10! I live 2 hours from this place and came to try here because there isn’t one in my area! But it is definitely recommended!!

This is one of our families favorite after church spots for lunch!!! The chicken is so amazing!! Thick and juicy tenders with customizable spice levels. I usually get extra hot (very hot!) and kids get medium or mild. I have had the reaper and it is no joke! I highly recommend getting a milkshake with it. And by the way, the milkshakes are Fantastic!!! The employees are all super nice!! Enjoy!

I was very disappointed with my recent order. The food arrived with bread that was visibly moldy and had clear signs of fungus. This is not only unacceptable but also a serious health concern. It shows a lack of attention to food safety and quality control.
I had to throw the bread away immediately, and it made me question the freshness of the rest of the meal. I expected better care, especially when it comes to basic food handling. I hope this issue is addressed so that others don’t have the same experience.
When I spoke to the manager about this issue, I was told I could get a refund—but nothing was actually done. More troublingly, the manager showed no real concern about the situation, which only added to my frustration.
I hope this issue is taken seriously and addressed appropriately, so other customers don’t have to go through the same experience. I would also appreciate a follow-up to ensure this matter is being handled.

Order at the counter, find a seat, and when you are buzzed, you go grab your food. The walls were painted so fun. There are TV’s with sports on to watch. I got the 2 slider meal with fries. Loved the pickles, sliders were good. The fries were good, but in a fry industry, not the top. The sauce tasted like a wanna be Cain’s sauce.
My daughter got the cauliflower tender and slider. This was just a big, non seasoned, fried piece of cauliflower. I would pass on this. Stick with the chicken.
With the 2 meals and 2 drinks…our total came out to $39. I don’t think it was worth $39.

Great chicken! Hot is my fav, medium was really good without setting your mouth on fire. Seasoning is a very messy and dusty but good. I was wishing for less dust but the flavor is good. Fries are good. Pickles are fresh. The sandwich was really good with the slaw and honey. Dave’s sauce reminded me of cane’s but sweeter. Honey on the hot chicken was my fav! Def will come back for lunch sometime.
