We had just arrived at Quechee Gorge and the first thing we did was get some food at Snack Bar At The Gorge.
I had a bacon cheeseburger with French fries. Wife had clam chowder.
We both had milkshakes.
The prices were reasonable. I found the staff to be nice.
We enjoyed our food.
This place is adjacent to the gorge. There seemed to be plenty of parking when I was there.

Huge portions and fast service, we were spending the day in the area hiking and sightseeing and decided to try the fried seafood. The combos are very large and one is more than enough for two people. The scallops and shrimp were very good, the fries were not good.

Great seafood. We had ice cream cones with a scoop of two varieties in each. All four varieties were excellent. Food and ice cream portions are generous. Seating is at outdoor picnic tables or in a picnic pavilion.
Owner (who was cooking the food) and staff were super nice.
This is a small, family-run business.

A little pricey but honestly it was really delicious. I got a chocolate milkshake, partner got a root beer float, and we shared an order of a widow maker, with is French fries topped with delicious bbq pulled pork and cheese sauce. The portion size was huge for that. We were both full and didn’t even finish the full container. It was a perfect lunch for after hiking the trails near by the gorge and taking in the scenery. They had a nice area with picnic tables to sit either in the shade or under the sun to enjoy our meals.

Super good food at a super good price! Was surprised at how rich the burger tasted, and the fries were large and well made. Everyone was super friendly here. Will definitely be coming back soon!

This is a walk up snack bar. You order and they have outside tables under a roof covering. They are often busy but the lines are not bad. We often go for the ice cream. We split a sundae and are usually very full. Their fries and shrimp are good. The pulled pork just okay. If you are not a Vermonter you must have a maple creamee. Otherwise you missed Vermont.

We have returned numerous times and have been treated well each time both on food and service.

This is the most delicious ice cream I have ever had! So creamy, its almost marshmallowy! And you’re surrounded by nature and a gorge and beautiful scenic routes- cant think of a better idea than a hike followed by some of the best ice cream on earth… which can be acquired here

Stopped for a quick bite. the burgers were good sized with fresh veggies. My caesar salad with chicken was pretty pathetic, limp lettuce and cold chicken.

I got the fried scallops and they were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. My wife got the fried clams and she was very happy. Huge portions of fries (unsalted). The ice cream is very good too.
