First time at this lovely restaurant. Great customer service and the good was mind blowing. From the presentation to the mouth watering tast. Wow and agin WOW!! Had to park at the Main Hotel garage and work right across the street to the restaurant. It was very convenient $2.00 to park. Clean and inviting, its was a private birthday party upstairs. I will most definitely recommend it to friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Ordinare Restaurant offers a cozy, inviting atmosphere with affordable prices. The music was a little loud for my taste, but overall it added to the lively and enjoyable vibe.

I started with the apple brandy sour, and it was outstanding—easily one of the best cocktails I’ve had in a long time. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the evening.

For my meal, I began with the she-crab soup, which was rich and flavorful. My main dish was The Thick Shorty—tender short ribs served over pasta with a house-made sauce—and it was absolutely delicious.

Dessert was the perfect finale: a sugar cookie baked in a personal-sized cast-iron skillet, topped with homemade ice cream. It was indulgent, warm, and the ideal way to end the meal.

Before leaving, I had the chance to meet one of the owners, who was incredibly kind and clearly hands-on—cleaning tables and making sure every guest had a great experience. That level of care really stood out.

Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend—this place is a must-visit.

My fiancé and I decided to randomly go to Ordinaire for a date night and it did not disappoint. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Mrs.Green, the owner who immediately seated us. She made sure our table had intimate lighting and our server came shortly after to attend to us. The entire staff was polite and professional. We didn’t feel rushed or pressured and our server was very knowledgeable on every menu item we had questions about. The food was AMAZING!! OMG SO GOOD! I ordered She Crab Soup for my appetizer and for my entree; lamb chops, roasted brussel sprouts and mash potatoes. It was all seasoned to perfection and plated beautifully. I never ever ordered dessert at restaurants , but I decided to try the sweet potato bread pudding…LOST FOR WORDS! It was perfection! Overall Ordinaire is a 10/10 and the perfect choice for date night or any night when you’re looking for a classy vibe with great food and a family oriented staff.

Stumbled across this place walking in downtown Norfolk. Had a quick lunch of she crab soup and a slice of rum cake. The cake was incredible, somebody’s mama put they whole foot in there and wiggled her magical toes. The she crab soup was topped with a mini crab cake, and was so savory and creamy. It had a nice kick to it, just like in the Charley-O The atmosphere was a vibe. Great brunch spot and I am looking forward to my next visit already.

Dad and I stopped in Friday night, our 1st time. We ordered the Salmon Bites as the app and they did not disappoint! Dad ordered the Cajun Seafood Pasta, which he said was quite flavorful but a little too liquid for him. He needed a piece of bread to dip in. I had the Ordinaire Burger and it was delicious. The fries were good but not my favorite. Our server Amaya was nice and friendly. You should definitely stop by and try them out. BIPOC friendly and great music.

Amazing food, service, and ambiance. I loved my experience at this establishment. The staff are extremely pleasant. The owner greets you when you walk in the door. Our waitress was very attending and made sure we were happy and had everything we needed. The bartender catered to our request. I had a strawberry margarita and my husband had a rum punch. They were made to our liking. The chef surpassed our expectations on our dishes. For an appetizer we ordered crab dip and it was absolutely amazing. For entrees, I ordered a salmon salad. The salmon was so flavorful and the salad was delightfully fresh. My spouse had the salmon Cajun pasta and I tried his noodles and they were al dente in a creamy Cajun sauce. Chefs kiss! I would definitely recommend 10/10.

My son & his girlfriend treated me out for my Birthday. The reservation was for 6pm on 3/22 for 4 ppl. As we arrived we were greeted by a very nice young lady Tequila. Please excuse me if I missed her name. She allowed us to pick from two tables. We sat down and with in a few minutes we where treated by a young lady with placed silverware & brought 1 cup of water. Then another couple of minutes went by & another young lady came over & introduced herself as our waitress. She initially took our drinks orders. We also placed our order for an appetizer. About 10 mins had gone by she advised that they didn’t have what we had ordered. So we picked the She crab soup instead. The soup was amazing. Unfortunately she forget to place the order for carb dip and my son’s girlfriend had to wait almost 15 minutes extra. By the time she got her appetizer we was down with ours. Unfortunately the young lady that took order advised she was leaving and someone else lar would be taking over. No one was ver came to our table to let us know they was taking over. We waited for our food only to discover she only put in for 1 of the entrees. My oldest son ordered the Cajun pasta with he said was delicious. His girlfriend & my youngest son ordered the lamb chops with Asparagus and mashed out she never put in the order. I will say for it being my first time at this establishment it left a very bad taste in my mouth with the service. However the young lady g lady Tequila didn’t everything possible to correct the situation. If it wasn’t for her to try and make good my experience overall would have been ruined… she gets 5 stars… I will say this whom ever the manager on duty was or manager/ owner of this place. Should have came over and apologized for the experience. I don’t know if I will be going back as first experience is everything to me. But Tequila I what to commend you for everything you did to ratify the situation. Here’s a couple of pictures I did manage to get. Also there’s no parking it’s either street parking or garage parking which is right across from the establishment. Our drinks where a strawberry lemon drop & I believe mine was a white linen martin. I only had the she crab soup. I had ordered side of Brussels sprouts but after finding out she didn’t place the rest of the ordered, I cancelled it. As far as the lamb chops dinner I was told my my youngest son & my oldest son girlfriend they where very good.. he his review is based mainly on the horrible service we received as it being most of our first there!! However as I stated earlier Tequila deserves 5 stars herself.

We went for Restaurant Week, and I can’t say enough good things about this warm, beautiful experience. The food was incredible- the fried deviled eggs, and the burger with pickled grilled jalapeños and truffle garlic fries were both unrivaled.
The service was top notch, and we even got to talk to one of the wonderful owners.
THIS is a business locals should support. I know we will be back- as often as possible!
