I came here for my parents anniversary on a Tuesday school night. When we walked in the smell of classic Italian food hit us. We didn’t have to wait at all for a table and we got a booth which was incredibly comfy. We were served 15 minutes after ordering and the food was incredible! The cheese pizza was cheesy and warm, ravioli was awesome and the appetizers were simply lovely. This restaurant is a true hidden gem! I will be back for sure!

We came into town and wanted to take our family out for a special dinner. We had a reservation for 6:30 but didn’t get seated until after 7. It seemed like one staff member was handling multiple large tables and couldn’t give us proper attention. Because of this, our meal took much longer than it should have, and our kids didn’t get their drinks on time. I had forgotten to mention that we had made reservations for over two weeks in advance.

The food was very inexpensive, and the server we had was sweet and did her best under the circumstances. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, clean, and has great parking, which made things a little easier.

That said, the overall experience felt unorganized, and it ended up taking away from the limited time we had to spend with our family. While I appreciated the effort of the staff and the ambiance, this isn’t a place I would personally return to for a group dinner when trying to have a more polished or seamless experience.

We had a great experience tonight! I was impressed by your team. The pizza was surprisingly delicious. I’ve had a tough time finding a Rockford style pizza that I like this much. Probably my new favorite. The lasagna and Alfredo were delicious too. $8 bucks for a glass of Chianti? Yum! We’ll be back. I recommend making a reservation.

Atmosphere and ambiance are wonderful.
We would like to share so others know what to expect regarding the food. Salad was very nice and generous serving. Pizza was extremely salty and the crust was very dry and lifeless unlike our previous experience with Lino’s. We wondered if you now order frozen pre-made from a food supplier. Shrimp was incredibly salty. We each had one shrimp and could not tolerate more. Leftovers were discarded. Merlot was brought to the table after we were done with our meal. We asked for a to-go option after we said we were done with our meal as a polite way of telling the server that it was no longer needed or wanted which was ignored. Coffee that was included with the meal was not offered. We paid and tipped generously but we do not plan to visit again.

MUST TRY:
As a self-proclaimed, Michelin star food reviewer. I can say without a doubt in my mind, this is the best pizza I’ve had in my life. Truly a special restaurant, that I will absolutely be returning to in the near future.

First time eating here since it recently opened. What a unique place to dine! It is large and constructed from modified shipping containers! So unusual but very cozy feeling. The Italian food is absolutely delicious and plentiful and the service was top notch! They even have a shopping area made up of eclectic stores, each in its own decorated container. It looks like your walking down a village street! Loved it and will definitely be back!

We belong to the Verdi club and know that Linos makes their pizzas last week we got a pizza and the crust tasted flaky and sweet. We went to the Linos on Riverside on the 13th for my daughter’s birthday and ordered lasagna and spaghetti and there was so much onion in the sauce that’s all you could taste. We also got a pizza to go and same thing flaky and sweet crust. Linos used to be my favorite but not anymore. My daughter and husband feel the same way. Hopefully you didn’t change anything or you may be losing people

There’s not a lot of choices on the menu, but that’s a good thing when it comes to higher end restaurants. My date had never been here before, but seen the construction. It’s pretty much made entirely out of freight containers and corrugated steel, but it looks fine. The food was professionally done and made exactly how we wanted it, but it did seem about ten percent too high. I felt I was overcharged for the wine ($10 no-name white) and undercharged for the beer ($5 or $6 N.A. Heineken). No problem. Food was excellent. Best salad and dressing I have had in a while. Came with dessert and coffee so THAT makes up for the 10% I had felt. Coffee was great, too. Water, not so much (filter needs changing? Maybe not accustomed to the taste of Rockford water). Will be back!

My Stomach Just Sent Me a Thank You Note

Let me tell you, folks, Lino’s has officially arrived, and my tastebuds are throwing a party they’re never going to recover from. This place? It’s like they took “rustic chic” and gave it a delicious, Italian-flavored hug. The atmosphere is so good, you’ll want to move in.

The service? Forget about it. The waitstaff are like culinary ninjas – attentive, pleasant, and excited about the new digs, although to be clear, not as excited as I am. I frequently roll through to pick up dinner for the family or chow down in their backyard oasis during the summer months, but now I can feel like a fancy pants in sit-down restaurant style (clarification, I wear shorts most often but “fancy shorts” doesn’t have the same ring-a-ding-ding to it).

Now, let’s talk about the food. I dove headfirst into the chicken saltimbocca and roasted potatoes, and honestly, I think I saw angels. My wife, a certified meatball connoisseur (and let’s be real, a tough critic), declared Lino’s meatballs a close second to her own. That’s high praise, people. I’m now sleeping with one eye open, guarding my leftovers.

The lasagna? Sublime. The Italian beef? Possibly the best in the city. I’m not saying I’d fight someone for the last bite, but I’m also not not saying that.

Although they’ve recently opened for sit-down service at this location, and word is spreading fast. Reservations are limited and they will be expanding over time, but you can snag a spot online. Do it. Seriously, stop reading this and go book a table. Your stomach will thank you. I’ll be back, and I’ll be bringing reinforcements (aka, my entire extended family).
