If you’re hungry, this is the place to go! The omelette’s are gigantic and delicious and come with a side of pancakes. The staff was friendly and attentive and the restaurant was clean and comfortable.

Still a great place to get breakfast or lunch. The joint continues to offer plenty of choices for all taste buds. The omelets are still big but the delicious potatoes have been replaced with so-so hash browns. Prices are up. A lot! Service is top notch and the atmosphere is pleasant enough to make one want to linger for hours.

My husband and I visited this restaurant a few years ago, we then moved far east and kind of forgot about it until being back on this side of town. We were quickly reminded how much we really enjoyed eating here. We usually go to breakfast every Sunday and have made The Original Pancake House our weekly go to. The portions are large, the coffee is good, prices I think are comparable. The staff has always been pleasant and the atmosphere is nice. The only thing I will say that could have made our most recent visit better is I asked for ” well well done sausage” but it still came out a bit soft.

The host were nice and friendly. Our server was okay, she kept forgetting small things. Food didn’t have flavor. We wasn’t aware that there’d be an up charge for the overload I didn’t expect of green peppers and onions (they added way too many for no reason) definitely didn’t expect to pay $2.50 per vegetable nor did we expect the $7 plus for the turkey links and the bacon add on. My red velvet pancakes weren’t done. Turkey links weren’t cooked long enough very soft and pink inside. The Mexican omelette was made with every ounce of cheese they had in the kitchen. We sent it back and had it remade with less cheese. We asked for the extra cheese to be on top but somehow it ended up inside but they fixed it. Most expensive breakfast and definitely wasn’t worth the price. Don’t be fooled by the nice photos. But if you enjoy undercooked food with no flavor this is the place for you!

There are plenty of places to eat breakfast these days and it’s no longer an inexpensive meal when dining out. This is true of The OPH however their really good food accompanied by outstanding customer service is what makes this restaurant a real winner. Very accommodating and friendly staff, a wide variety of menu options and speedy service all add up to one of the best in town.

First time eating here. Jeff was our server in the bar area and he was super attentive, friendly, and helpful. We ordered a little bit of everything on the menu (omelette, pancakes, waffle, bacon, hash browns, etc.) and every item was great. We were also able to try a Dutch baby, complimentary of the restaurant! The staff there were friendly all around. Happy with our experience!

We have been to 2 locations of The Original Pancake House, one on Lane Ave. in Columbus and one in Delaware. We love it here. We have had the huge and delicious omlettes, the silver dollar buttermilk pancakes, the scrambled eggs and bacon and our favorite the Dutch Baby!!
