The Beef Pancake was a standout–perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside–and one of the owners even personally fed both me and my partner a piece, which made the experience unforgettable. The Pork Katsu was the perfect portion, and the Army Stew was comforting, flavorful, and the best way to end the night-we slept so well once we got home! Overall, the food was delicious, the portions were huge, and the experience was incredible. We will absolutely be coming back and can’t wait to bring our friends and family to try their shabu shabu next time. Highly recommend!
I recently visited with my husband and ordered the shabu-shabu. I have tried many shabu-shabu spots in Los Angeles, and this is definitely one of the best. I also returned with my family, and even my children, who are typically very picky eaters, absolutely loved it.
We went shortly after their opening day as Korean cuisine is a personal favorite and am always eager to try new restaurants in our local scene. The restaurant is very homey and you definitely feel welcomed by the servers. Very attentive to your needs and although I was already familiar with korean dishes, I did notice they are very happy to explain the different dishes to those unfamiliar with the cuisine.
We ordered short rib noodle soup, tteokboki, fried cod(amazing), and some kimchi fried rice.
They bring out some traditional banchan for the guests to snack on before their meals arrive. Potato salad, kimchi, various pickled vegetables. All very tasty.
The food itself was all amazing. The kimchi fried rice was impeccable, the fried cod was cooked perfectly with a nice flaky cod but soft batter. The tyeokboki w cheese was just the ultimate comfort food. My parter spoke very highly of the short rib soup as the broth was perfectly seasoned and meat amazingly tender.
The servers were super attentive and consistently checked in to make sure their guests had all they needed. They would even provide pointers on how to eat certain dishes!
If youre a fan of korean cuisine please go give these guys a shot!
We were a party of seven so I called ahead on Sunday, to give them a head count and they said oh you can make reservations we just weren’t taking reservations for Valentine’s Day we were never trying to make reservations for Valentine’s Day… And neither conversation that we had either on Thursday or Sunday did they mention that they got their privileges for Hot pot revoked.
Nowhere on any website did they mention that they got their hot pot privileges revoked. We went for the experience of hotpot. Lack of communication and poor planning on their part. If you’re going to advertise a hot pot experience, and it gets revoked you need to advertise that.
Also an 18% gratitude is outrageous. You’re not a high end restaurant. You don’t even have a good portion of what you advertise because you didn’t want to upgrade they way you should have before advertising.
