Today after some work I had in Coxwell area, was searching a good place for some desi Indian food. More better I saw this place in google n walked a lot in cold expecting a lot since it was a Nepali based restaurant. Ordered chicken momo and masala chai as I was craving momo for long time. To my surprise both the items were really good. Service was also very good I must say with the ambience around.

Now coming to the major part of my take away. Almost took 40 mins after I have placed the order , I agree weekday and morning around 12 pm may not have more resources , but even after talking so long such food. I did not like the kadhai chicken which I took out for and had lot of expectations with it. Chicken Chowmin was burnt a bit, but overall taste was ok. But kadhai chicken was disappointment , was suggested by the person in counter, not sure if he was the owner or manager but he seemed pretty confident of the item . It is tasting like some tomato paste and boiled chicken pieces. Honestly I was expecting a lot for the main dish. Only momo is worth it nothing else. 4 star was only for the humble behaviour , momo n chai .

I recently discovered your place on Uber Eats and really liked the chicken thali, so I ordered it three times in two days. I didn’t enjoy the basmati rice—it went to waste—but that’s okay. However, in my last order, the aloo and gobi curry was spoiled—smelly, sour, and sticky. You can’t send customers spoiled food when they’ve paid for it. Also, I clearly asked for extra chili in my second order and again in my third, but it was ignored both times. Please pay attention to special instructions and food quality.

Spoiled for choice along the Danforth, my love for momos doesn’t stop there. Sitting in a thick tomato-based sauce that brings a pronounced sweetness and a touch of nuttiness from soybean that soaks into the momo wrapper. The filling of chicken and onions is plump and juicy, ultimately combining with that addictive sauce. Completing the trio, chunks of lamb combined with an earthy spinach curry for the protein, and garlic naan for the starch.

Oh wow! Excellent food with fantastic flavours. I’m kicking myself that we haven’t dined here sooner. We had the chicken mirch tikka, chilli momos, steamed veggie momos, and the chicken chow mein. Everything was a hit. The service is so friendly and warm and the dining space is lovely. Their prices are also super reasonable in this time of inflation. This will definitely become our go-to for Nepalese/Indian in the neighbourhood.

If you’re craving authentic Nepalese food, I highly recommend you give this wonderful restaurant a visit. Their staff are warm, welcoming and always willing to answer any questions to you may have about their varied menu. From our own dishes to those ordered by other patrons, their portions are plentiful, full of flavor with wonderful aroma. You can taste the love and time it took to perfect these dishes, the chicken, goat and lamb were so tender and juicy. Let’s not forget the amazing garlic naan. Of course always leave room for dessert and their chai tea. I can’t wait to return to try the other offerings on their menu.

Every dish available at the lunch buffet was full of flavour and tasty. See pics for full buffet selection which wasn’t huge but there were not any dishes I missed. About half the dishes were vegetarian. Spice level was on the mild to medium end of the spectrum. Gulab jamun to end the meal was also a delight. Will most definitely be back.

Pretty good Indian and Nepalese cuisine. Went for dinner and got:
– Bhojan Ghar Platter: Fried goodies. Best of the bunch for me was the onion bhaji.
– Butter Chicken: Thick sauce which I liked. Would have wanted a bit more chicken.
– Steamed Chicken Momo: Thick and chewy outer casing which I liked. Chicken inside was also tasty.
– Lachha Paratha: A bit denser and less flaky than what I’m used to.

Service was friendly. Place is well laid out. Bonus points for the sublimely chunky mango chutney. A good spot for this cuisine.

Bhojan Ghar is one of my favorite spots whenever I’m craving authentic Nepali food. The flavors are rich and traditional, with masalas that truly remind me of home in Nepal. Every dish feels like it’s been cooked with love and care—just like back home. It’s definitely my go-to place for satisfying my Nepali food cravings.
Staffs are very welcoming and helpful.
