I made myself a promise to try this place one day. That day finally arrived. A small, clean, friendly, family-owned restaurant in a town of friendly, loving folks deep in the heart of southeast Georgia. I’m not familiar with the menu for the rest of the week, but on Sunday you have the option of ordering from the menu or enjoying the country buffet. The fried chicken was perfect, the smoked turkey was juicy and delicious, the creamed white corn might have been from a can (?) but you wouldn’t believe it, and the mashed potatoes were real. None of them “plastic” potatoes out of a box. The owner and his staff kept the bar hot, fresh, and well-stocked. The waitresses kept the used dishes cleared from your table while checking to see if you needed anything at all. The price was perfect and included a dish of pie or cobbler and a bowl of ice cream. I hope so, because I got the ice cream (but no cobbler or pie). Mr. Shane, if I owe for the ice cream, let me know. I’ll gladly pay ya. And we’ll be back to eat again as soon as possible.

There were 5 of us and everyone loved it. We all had the reasonably priced buffet ($10.99). Fried ribs were delicious and so were the grilled ribs and pork chops. Green beans and squash were tasty and cooked just right. Really good soul food / southern cooking, we recommend it!

Great place and family friendly! The food is always awesome(way more than just BBQ available) and the staff is happy. A happy staff says a lot about a manager/owner. Keep it up! Only suggestion, a soft serve machine would compliment that off the chain cobbler!

This restuarant is amazingly delicious. I came with my mom at 2PM and the food was still fresh and hot on the buffet. The employees are ALL extremely nice, professional, and honest. Well worth the $10 per person. My only suggestion is that they use a little less butter in the mac. Other than that, this was like a home cooked meal that momma makes at home!!!! Will definitely be coming back!!!!!

Always friendly service (not always “fast” because they’re almost always super-busy, but as quick as can be expected for a place this in demand). The food is consistently terrific, no matter what I eat there. I’m not a big fried chicken fan, but those who are swear by Shane’s. Their grilled or smoked pork chops, chicken, pretty much you name it, are totally delicious! Sides are wonderful too! Baked beans are a favorite, but I had the green beans today, and they were WAY more flavorful than in most places. The stir fry potatoes were scrumptious, and their mac-and-cheese is always fantastic. Maybe a little pricey with the drink being a separate cost, but it’s a LOT of really excellent food. And when we’re in there, the customers and employees just make us feel at home! So glad Shane took the initiative to make this place his own, and provide us with an awesome restaurant in Nahunta.

I was so excited to hear they had reopened. Arrived today and there was a sign saying seat yourself. Well there was only 2 open tables. A large 6 person table and a 2 person table. So since it’s just my husband and I we sat at the smaller table. The place was busy so we patiently waited to be served. ..and waited ..and waited. Finally I got up to go to the bar while my husband waited for someone to take our drink orders.
When I got back my husband said a waitress looked at him asked if he was with another table and he said no. So she took another table’s order and walked off. Never offering anything. To the point of being rude. So after hearing this I went and found said waitress and said we need drinks that we had been waiting over 15 minutes. She gave us drinks and said she would tell our waitress turned and offered better service to the table beside us.
No one ever gave us straws, refilled drinks, asked if we needed anything or gave us the time of day but offered excellent customer service to the other tables.
When time to pay the waitress that gave us drinks asked if anyone else had ever helped us. I said no so she gave me my total so I gave her a small tip since she wasn’t our waitress.
I don’t know if I will be back. Based on this one visit I wouldn’t even recommend this place.

I think the switch may be taking its toll. It took 30minutes after getting our order to get the fries that were missing, and that was after having to remind them. Service and food had always been great so I’m hoping this is just an adjustment period.

We tried Shane’s after our daughter and family had a dinning experience there.Sheknows the food we enjoy and suggested highly we go….. so we did The best country food and steaks I thought of my parents and the way I was brought up to eat and this is a dead ringer!!!! great tasting seasoned right…We will be back……soon

Shane has a winner with his restaurant. Everything I’ve eaten has been excellent and you will not find a better steak anywhere. Anything you order will be top notch and if you are driving 30 miles to get “good” food you are wasting time and gas. Shane’s Kitchen will satisfy all your cravings. The staff is friendly and provide excellent personal service. Did i mention the steaks? LOL. Oh my they are perfect every time!! I give it 6 stars out of 5 so come eat, don’t drive.
