I can’t say enough amazing things about my experience! Amphora absolutely nailed my daughter’s cake — it was beyond perfect. Not only was it beautiful, but it tasted incredible. So many of our guests went out of their way to compliment it and said it was better than any cake they’ve ever had!
Maria and Donna are truly wonderful to work with. Their customer service is top notch — friendly, responsive, and so thoughtful throughout the entire process. They made everything easy and stress-free from start to finish.

This bakery made our daughter’s birthday so easy and special. My daughter wanted a rainbow unicorn theme. They did AMAZING on the cake. Our guests were raving on how good it tasted. I’ve seen others reviews of dry cake but I strongly disagree. Our cake was rich, moist, and a great balance of flavors. Don’t mind the front of the cake I bumped the cake getting it out of the box hence why it’s smudged on the front.

I don’t know if it was management issue or overworked bakers. I placed the order for child’s 1st birthday cake, discussed the design over the email ( with pictures). Got charged, dropped the topper. Called to confirm order, only to find out that baker “forgot” to put order when we went to pick up the cake. Unprofessional in my opinion.
The manager did provide “some” cake, but party was delayed by over an hour. Amphora made our wedding cake. They even made cake for my older child’s first birthday, but with recent experience don’t think I’ll be trusting them with an important order again!!

Amphora Bakery is my favorite bakery in the area. Their cakes and pies are amazing. They are beautifully and decorated with perfection. The only time I see slight imperfections is when the strawberries are not in season. As a result, the strawberries are not bright red and perfectly shaped.
They sell cookies, cupcakes, individual smaller slices of cakes, whole cakes, pastries, custom cakes, etc… Their cannollis are delicious, too.
Customer service is excellent. I wanted a cake that they regularly have available, and I called the day before and they reserved it for me to pick up the next day. Because this bakery location was closed that day, I was able to conveniently pick it up at the Amphora Deluxe Diner down the street, which opens 24/7.
Their cake prices range from around $30 or more. The individual pieces of cake are about $4 -5 each. If you are price sensitive, don’t be afraid to ask, because there are no prices displayed by the cakes.

I ordered the candy cane mocha. Drink was great but it seemed more like a regular mocha, no peppermint at all. Atmosphere was great and service was good, a little chaotic but they got the job done. If in town again id give them another shot.

This was my first time visiting Amphora Bakery, and my interaction with Maria, the owner, was very pleasant. She is both professional and kind. The atmosphere of the bakery is cozy, and I was impressed by their selection of cakes, which is not commonly found in most bakeries. Amphora Bakery is definitely a gem in the Herndon area. Since my visit, whenever someone in my circle mentions needing a bakery or cake, I always recommend they check out Amphora Bakery.

When I looked at it from outside the store, it didn’t look much different from a normal bakery, but the moment I went inside, the atmosphere of the store caught my eye! I couldn’t take my eyes off the various cake samples and cookies, especially the kitchen behind the store. The spacious kitchen and the staff working on cookies in it gave me a more fresh feeling.
