Everything an American roadside diner should be, especially if it’s winter in Alaska. The food is always piping hot and delicious, staff are welcoming and attentive, and the price is about as reasonable as it gets for todays economy.
And the hot chocolate is pitch perfect if you’re off back out into the snowy snow.

Start the day with a lovely breakfast. We’ve been here a few times and everything is good and keeps us full all day. It’s quite big with 2 dining areas and you can see the open kitchen. We will be back.

I ordered the club sandwich. It was reasonably priced for a sit down meal. Bacon and fries were crispy. Pretty good overall, they could use more business as they serve so many items all day including breakfast. I added photo, not sure the photo did the sandwich justice, but I only ate half, it was very filling.

Fantastic service and the food was good. My only small issues would be their sausage gravy flavor was a little bland, and I wish the chicken fried steak was a bigger portion.
Definitely worth a try if you’ve never been. My wife loved the waffles.

I wasn’t going to write a bad review at 1st but then I only received a handful of fries!! All I ordered was a side a Fries for pick up on a Saturday, they told me 10 minutes, I get there after the first 10 minutes and have to wait another 10 minutes in the lobby at that point I left and went n got gas and soda. The side of Fries is $7.25 and I tipped .75cents so $8 dollars for a handful of fries and an over 20 minute wait!!

I have been wanting to stop here for years, unfortunately when we did they were no longer a bakery. The hollandaise sauce was flavorless. Hash browns were great even though I ordered home fries, we ordered half an order of biscuits and gravy but didn’t get it until we were leaving. We git a full order which I’m sure I was charged for but don’t know cause I didn’t get an itemized receipt. Kinda disappointing

I am surprised not more people have mentioned that Bobby’s has amazing fries! A dark horse contender for best fries around. It has become somewhat of a routine to finish hiking in the MatSu area and pick up fries for the road on my way back to Anchorage. I dine in here maybe twice a year and have always had a great fish sandwich (and fries, obviously). My only real complaint is there aren’t good vegetarian sandwiches/burgers but maybe the regular clientele just doesn’t request them. I end up getting one of the fish options and it fits the bill but I’d love to have another option!
