Whistle Hill’s Café – Downtown (Weatherford)
It was a friendly atmosphere and tasty breakfast.
I came here with family to enjoy southern hospitality food and that we did. We ordered their daily special and an omelette. Both dishes tasted great from scratch, with fresh ingredients and generous portions.
From the outside, it looks small with light colors brick painted. Once you step inside, you can tell they were creative and made good use of the space.
Inside was my favorite. Western theme throughout. At the front entrance, where on each side windows looked like used to be storefront windows, they made them into seating cubbyholes.
If you look to the right, I loved seeing brick pop out and large letters, “WEATHERFORD,” written on the wall, with pictures below it.
In the very back wall they had a wall-sized mural of Texas flag. Very nice touches throughout the place.
You have good options for seating, with twenty-plus tables and forty-plus chairs. The staff were friendly and helpful with drink and food options.
If you’re looking for good Texas hospitality atmosphere, I’d recommend stopping by.

Great breakfast with awesome portion sizes! Felt like we were part of the family and really enjoyed our breakfast. Pancakes are large and the hash browns are great! Highly recommend for great food, service, and price!

I need to specify less crisp bacon. If you like crisp, it was good. What really stood out was how *friendly * everyone was. And not just the staff! Diners said “hello” to me!

My family and I had breakfast this morning at Whistle Hill’s Downtown Cafe, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. All the waitresses were incredibly friendly and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal.
Our food came out quickly, and everything was absolutely delicious — classic comfort food done right. This place truly captures the charm of a small-town café with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and great service.
The only downside (if you can call it that) is that there’s almost always a wait to get a table — but honestly, that just shows how popular and loved this place is. Trust me, it’s worth the wait. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

We ate at this restaurant years ago under a different name. Upon returning, it is now the whistle Hills downtown Café. We got there about 30 minutes before closing, and they graciously welcomed us in. No problem. Susan got a hamburger and I had try the Montecristo sandwich. On the menu it said raspberry inferno sauce. Right up my alley! It was slightly different from other Montecristo sandwiches I have had, but that didn’t stop it from being absolutely delicious. I devoured every bite! Susan said her hamburger was excellent. Service was excellent, the owner stopped by to check on us, and we will definitely be back.

Update: We are back again!!! This place Rocks! I had to show how big and wonderful these Pancakes are. I was smart this time and only got a single. I still couldn’t finish it all, but it was soooo worth getting….

This was our first time here. If I could give this place twenty stars I would. We had to wait outside for maybe fifteen minutes, we got in and I had hot chocolate which was delightful. Then we ordered, the food came out the portions were so big and it smelled so good. It smelled like a home cooked breakfast meal like when I was a little girl and my granny would make this gigantic breakfast spread and your nose is just going crazy with the most delicious smells. Just imagine the best breakfast smells. Then I take a bite my taste buds were going crazy it was the best breakfast I’ve ever had in my entire life, I’m not even joking. It was so good. This is my new breakfast spot for the rest of my life. My husband and daughter loved theirs too!, you know when you eat something so delicious and you’re so completely full and you just keep eating because it’s so good?, it was exactly like that. I was so full, so stuffed and so sleepy afterwards. The waitress was so sweet too. Everyone was. It is family owned and operated. Make sure you go there hungry. Ohhh and the pancake tasted like cake!!!, I’ve never tasted anything like that it must be someone’s great grandmas secret recipe was shocked eating it like whatttt?!!!! That pancake was the best pancake I’ve ever had. I’ll see yall next weekend. I’m a brand new regular from here out!!!

We came here for a family breakfast. There was a wait to get seated, but that is to be expected on a Saturday morning. The place was very crowded, but the staff were attentive and we never had to worry about refills. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the food was delicious.

Food was okay… Service was decent.
Burrito was tasty, but did not have a lot of seasoning. The “salsa” had a good flavor but absolutely zero spice.
Grits were super bland, with absolutely no seasoning at all.
Pancakes and French toast were pretty good.
I still do not understand why the restaurants in this area of Texas refuse to use seasoning in their foods… :/

What a great lil gem on the square. Ambiance for days. Good food. I think my egg whites on my fried eggs were whisked a bit. Nice touch! Murals inside are amazing too. Definitely recommend.
