Great, upscale spot on the island! Elevated and interesting flavor combos. Total for 4 people: $300
Food: The food was fine! All the recommendations from Rasih were good. Our standouts were:
⭐️ crab and corn fritters (fave part of the meal!)
⭐️ charred octopus
⭐️ maple butter sponge cake + coconut ice cream crudo
⭐️ new york strip + bone marrow sauce (perfectly cooked! personally not a fan of the cut but the sauce was also )
– tuna crudo
– furakake monkey bread (savory, buttery bread!)
might miss:
– piri piri chicken (spicy, flavorful yummy sauce but the chicken was dry)
– patatas bravas – side only ok. could skip, not memorable
– asparagus – side also only ok. not memorable but the asparagus was cooked PERFECTLY
Service: The whole staff was great! Rasih was an attentive server and gave great recommendations! The grill masters were fun, skillful and so sweet!!
Atmosphere: A swanky, intimate spot — perfect for a date night. The outdoor patio was set up for a family style long table and that was sweet too!

Follow up, we also went for brunch! Yummy avocado toast ($26) and ok “breakfast sampler” egg + sausage + bread.
Blanca was a fantastic server!

Absolutely lives up to it’s name. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the intoxicating aromas of the Open hearth- the unmistakable wood-fire scent instantly sets the tone for the meal.
The atmosphere is a balance of modern & slightly rustic, with ambient lighting that feels inviting and relaxed. I sat at the bar & received excellent service- the Bartender was friendly & attentive.
I had been searching for the best spiny lobster in Islamorada & this recommendation truly hit the mark!. The large tail was perfectly grilled and served with blistered heirloom cherry tomatoes, baby spinach, and basmati rice. Expertly prepared & beautifully balanced.
The wine list and cocktail selection are extensive. I paired my lobster with the Golden Hour cocktail (St. Germain, Cocchi Americano, lemon juice, sparkling wine) and it complemented the dish perfectly.
If you appreciate wood fire cooking done right, Kindler is a must visit.

I had an incredible meal here — everything from start to finish was outstanding. The mushroom gnocchi was rich, comforting, and full of earthy flavor, while the lobster fritters were perfectly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The highlight for me was the mahi-mahi wrapped in banana leaf — beautifully presented, juicy, and bursting with tropical flavor.
Even the money bread was unforgettable — warm, buttery, and addictive!
Service was impeccable. Our server was attentive without being intrusive and somehow kept our glasses of sparkling water topped up the entire time. Every detail felt cared for.
This place is a gem — excellent food, top-tier service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

The restaurant is beautiful. The service was impeccable. I had the flame roasted snapper and wilted greens. The snapper was perfect. The greens wirh fennel unfortunately looked like a spinach salad with anchovies on top.
We’ll return for the piri piri chicken which liked amazing.

High end from start to finish. Nice decor. Great wine. Perfect cocktails.
No rush.
Outdoor and indoor seating options. Not open everyday so plan ahead if staying in the area.
Devine hangar steak. And that burrata appetizer was just perfect!

The food is amazing! We ordered the steak and octopus and they are both delicious. The steak has a variety of appetizers to choose from and we tried the Maitake, and it was great! The key lime dessert is also great

Food was delicious and service was exceptional!! The prawns – wow, the spinach salad, mahi mahi wrapped in banana leaf, potato pave, and butter cake!! Our waiter Rasih was great, he was so helpful with recommendations and also kind. And our hostess was lovely and sat us at a romantic table. Highly recommend this restaurant for a date night.

Beware of this restaurant. The food they are serving is not what is listed on the menu. Ordered a passion fruit mojito. What I received was a spiked juice with absolutely no mint mashed in the drink, just whole leaves floating at the top. Ordered the monkey bread with wakame butter, butter was sickly sweet and absolutely no seaweed flavor or color. Confusing. Ordered the corn and crab fritters. Okay, but not for $20+ for 3 tiny fritters. Menu says it comes with fingerling potatoes, smoked mango and chorizo vinaigrette. Ours did not have a trace of any of those things and it seems no photo on here does either. Topped with ‘melted fennel.’ We got ours on the side. This was not fennel but I believe some sort of frisée that was literally drenched in salt water. It was like I was eating the bitter herb at a Passover Seder against my will. Ordered the mahi large plate. Mushy. Onion butter was a jam, butternut citrus slaw was thin butternut curls and onion curls (not listed) and 4 pieces of citrus that seemed like they came out of a large del monte fruit jar. $41 dish of disappointment. Absolutely no flavor balance at all. A 12 year old chef could’ve come up with a more composed entree. Ordered the patatas bravas. Gross. Smothered in a red sauce? You know when you cook potatoes too close together and they steam? That’s what happened here. Zero crisp. I’m not sure what kind of wood fire they were using but it was not hot enough. Made the potatoes inedible. If I wanted soggy potatoes I would’ve stayed home. Best thing I ate was the $12 asparagus. Problematic. Worst $100 pp meal I’ve ever had. As a chef and farmer myself it is absolutely dangerous and inexcusable to use ingredients not listened on the menu. Serious, serious amateur moves. Starting to think it was so dark in there so you wouldn’t notice the mistakes they were making. I’m not sure if they assume the people dining there don’t know ingredients or won’t notice things missing? Both me and my dinner mate are now feeling sick in bed. Hopefully this doesn’t escalate. Diner beware. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. 0/10.
