Placed an order on the app for pick up. App was very easy to use. Food was ready pretty quickly. The inside was very nice. The pick up process was simple, as the orders are just sitting on a table. The cheesesteak I got was very good. Great distribution of cheese and other toppings and was still hot when I ate it at home. Overall great food and simple process.

I’ve been to Jersey Mike’s many times and usually like the food, but today’s experience at the Olney location left me genuinely concerned about sanitation practices, and this isn’t the first time.

While watching my sandwich being made, I noticed far too many unnecessary touch points. The employee preparing my sandwich finished handling other customers’ food, moved away, then inexplicably walked back and started tapping on my sandwich—after already handling other items. After that, he stepped away again, took paper from another customer, used the cash register, and then returned to my sandwich without changing gloves.

This defeats the entire purpose of wearing gloves. Gloves are only sanitary if they’re changed when switching tasks. Touching money, registers, paper, and other customers’ food and then going back to someone else’s sandwich is not acceptable food-handling practice.

I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect basic hygiene standards. Watching this happen made me uncomfortable eating the food. Management really needs to (re)train staff on proper glove use and cross-contamination prevention.

Don’t order ahead, its faster just to walk in. Watched 6 sandwiches go out while my order for 3 sandwiches was finished 15 minutes passed the pickup time. Food was fine, but 1 of the 3 subs had 3 mistakes.

Also, the cash register and counter is filthy. Seriously, just wipe it down once in a while.

I just want the owner of this location to know I took my son here today 7/31/2022 around 8:15pm and the crew you have working tonight did a great job making our subs and had great customer service. They really need recognition. We went to another location and had mold on top of the bread one of our subs and said we would never go back to Jersey mikes but decided to try this one and I am just thankful for the experience. It wasn’t anything crazy but they did their job to say the least!

EDIT: I spoke with the owner of the location and he made things right, I appreciate that. Thanks! Order a sub with no tomatoes all of sudden that turns into just a meat/cheese sub no toppings. Come on folks like really?

It’ll be faster to wait in line and order vs ordering online. I had a 1240 pickup and 30 minutes later I’m still waiting on my food. Maybe they should prepare the food in order of pickup time. There’s a 115 and 145 that’s already ready for pickup on the table.

Employee just told me that the boss instructed them to prioritize people on the floor. Apparently already having my money, i don’t matter. The only reason i got my food faster is because I complained otherwise who knows how much longer they would have made me wait.

*check your order because i heard some People complain they had to come back because they had missing things from their order.

Edit: my sub was cold and too salty. My brother sub was only partially filled. Definitely not coming back here.

This place is probably the worse place to get an Italian sub. They put no meat or cheese on your sub. Literally. Even asking and paying for double meat this is what it looks like….. go to another location this place isn’t worth your money! Wheaten, Bethesda, Rockville, Gaithersburg actually make a good sub. They don’t skimp you on meat or cheese and charge you 15$.

Five stars hands down. I always order ahead on the app, and it’s always ready when I get there. The quality of the meat, and toppings are always very fresh. Overall 5 stars.

Placed a order for a Mike’s Philly cheesesteak ask for no peppers in a giant size sub. Had to wait 20 minutes and there was only four people in front of me , Three people behind me received theirs before me when I did get my sub it was a regular size and had peppers on it. very disappointed in the service and would not recommend it to anybody to go to that store.

Unfortunately, customer service is lacking here. The staff seemed more interested in chatting with each other than attending to customers, leaving me waiting to be served. If you’re looking for a pleasant experience, this might not be the place to go. Their sandwiches are decent but just above average—not enough to make up for the poor service.
