Pizza is, simply put, the best. Ive tried most of the places in the area and this is #1. There’s other places closer to my house, but I’d rather eat a reheated Felicias pizza then a fresh one from anywhere else. Mozzarella sticks are also fantastic and would highly recommend. Also check out the craft sodas in the corner.
Seems like this place is no secret though, as it can get very busy on weekends. Dont be surprised to wait 45 minutes or more around dinner time.
I’ve had amazing pizza here, but I’ve also had very mediocre, bordering on bad pizza here. The pictures I posted were supposed to be a margarita pizza. You know, the one with a small amount of cheese on a red sauce base, with some fresh basil. The one that’s supposed to be reminiscent of the “tricolore” or the Italian flag. If I didn’t know any better, I would have to assume the Italian flag was like 95% white based on this pizza.
I’ve never seen so much cheese on a pizza. Would I recommend Felicia’s? Umm…sometimes? Maybe get it on a weekday when they aren’t slammed because this was a Friday pizza and both times I’ve ordered on Friday it’s been bad. Last time I got a Caesar salad and it had mozzarella on it?!?
Get it together Felicia, I know you can make good pizza. Margarita Pizza has fresh basil, not some dry flakes from a jar.
Consistently good!
I have had him hung up on me on the phone before, don’t try to make conversation over the phone. If you have trouble ordering on the phone use UberEats pickup.
His pizza, especially the pomodoro romano is to die for. I tried the famous pizza places in Philly and New York but nothing compared to the caramelized onions here its actually the best thing ever. My boyfriend and I always make an experience out of getting his pizza and have fun with it. His food is truly worth it.
However, people like me who are a bit socially anxious or if you are inflexible, do not lose out on the great pizza and do this: call in 20 minutes before you want your pizza, look at the menu before hand and know exactly what you want. I have never anything delivered but I do pick up and the pizzas are always fresh and warm. The pizzas take 20 minutes because he hand kneads out the dough and puts it in the brick wood oven after he gets your order. You can see him make them if you order in and wait for your pizza!! FYI you cant eat in the store.
Please please please try this pizza and give the old man a chance. He is difficult but he is hardworking, good hearted and charming in his own way. At the end of the day, if everyone is perfectly nice and well-mannered what fun would that be?
