Their Chinese American food is outstanding- fresh and delicious. My boyfriend is not a fan of Chinese food but loves their Coconut Shrimp with Walnuts. I’ve had that and today Happy Family and it was excellent. The only thing missing was that it needed more sauce and I asked for it spicy, and it wasn’t. Still delicious though. Their food is better than all the Italian and Mexican restaurants down here.

My wife and I have been going to Chang Wang somewhat regularly for the last four years. When we first discovered them, we absolutely loved their chicken sticks. We’ve tried several other things on their menu over the years, but the chicken sticks have always been the favorite.
That was true until recently. I don’t know what changed, but something definitely did. It feels like they’re skimping on the chicken more and more with every visit. It’s hard to ignore. You can see chicken grease on the stick in spots where there is no chicken, which makes it look like they put on full pieces and then removed some after the fact. It honestly looks like they’re short on chicken and are breaking down finished skewers just to fulfill other orders.
This never used to be the case. For years the chicken sticks were full, consistent, and satisfying. Now they feel empty, like you’re being cheated. And the prices haven’t changed to reflect that. You’re paying the same, maybe more, for less food and a worse experience.
This last time was the final straw. I won’t be ordering from them again. It’s disappointing and disrespectful, especially after being a loyal customer for so long. I have photos that try to show what I’m talking about, but even if they don’t fully capture it, I hope you’ll take my word as someone who used to genuinely enjoy this place. Something changed, and not for the better.

I’m not sure why this place would have less than 4 stars, at least. We are local, and we have ordered from Chang Wang pretty regularly for the last few years. The quality is always good and fresh. It is some of the best Chinese takeout I’ve ever had. Some of our favorites are general tsos chicken, Singapore mei fun, sweet & sour chicken, and their hot & sour soup is delicious. We will continue to order here any time we want Chinese!

I have to say it’s disappointing to see how this restaurant went downhill. We used to order every Sunday. But we took a break after our order is messed up. Figured we give them another try tonight. The food was bad. The dumplings were so dry and they look like they are so old. Also, my order was messed up. I usually get steamed chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce on the side. I ended up getting beef broccoli and call back and let the lady know. I wasn’t looking for free food or anything but she gave me the biggest attitude and started yelling at me saying that she repeated the order back and I said yes to it. I could’ve definitely been a mistake on my part, but the point is screaming at customer that has gave you business for over two years. Won’t happen again. Check out the picture dumplings were dry and old. Won’t be ordering here again

Hands down one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Jersey. I’ve tried plenty, and this one has EXCELLENT fresh food. Not super greasy, all white meat chicken and not loaded with breading, and the staff is also very friendly!! If you’re looking to order take-out, this is the place!!!

We were very frequent costumers for the last 5-6 years or so and always enjoyed the convenience of the delivery and overall decent food. Unfortunately, the last time we ordered which was about a couple weeks ago, they messed up our order so we called to have it fixed. Whoever is at the front now has the worst customer service we have ever dealt with. She had her driver come to our door empty handed to take back the sushi rolls they got wrong, which whatever we did just that but not only is that unhygienic, she was also extremely rude. She proceeded to get into an argument on the phone with my mother in law for a good ten minutes. It’s a shame they lost loyal customers over two sushi rolls. They really need to check whoever is answering phones because she cannot speak to the people who pay their bills like that.

This is by far the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. We ordered chicken and vegetable lo mein, we asked for extra chicken and vegetables. When we opened it, there were hardly any of either. Do we drive back and asked for them to give us one with more chicken and vegetables and the woman refused. She claimed we picked all of the vegetables and chicken out and then took it back. The service here is absolutely horrible, not to mention ruin the food isn’t great. I would never recommend anyone to go there ever. Save your money and go somewhere else.
