**Update 2nd visit- Went here for a second time and we were highly disappointed! The food wasn’t the same and it wasn’t good. Even the tartar sauce was off..The lemonade definitely was different and there was barely any “fixings” in the cup even after bringing that to their attention it still wasn’t the same as the first time it lacked flavor and consistency. We didn’t bother with ordering the peach cobbler as we were already disappointed.***

We ordered beef tips & catfish plate. Food was delicious, hot and the customer service was awesome! Best lemonade ever! Peach cobbler was one of the best I’ve had. We’ll be back soon.

I wish I had taken a picture before I started eating , but this food was delicious. I loooovvee to eat and consider myself to be a Soulfood connoisseur. This place has good homemade gravy, beef tips were plastic fork tender, smothered ribs were delicious, smothered liver was plastic fork tender. The yams and cabbage greens were also delicious. This is a must try!!

This was some of the best food I have had in Shreveport. Im from down the bayou and this tasted like home. The family that runs it is some of the nicest people I have encountered. I will be back as often as I can while I am in the area.
