The best sushi and sashimi we’ve ever had. High quality seafood and delicious. Great service. A bit pricey but worth. If you’re visiting Palm Desert, this is a must stop dinning place. Highly recommended.

The sushi is great. We throughly enjoyed our food . The portion size were small compared to other sushi place but flavor is there. Went for valentines and they had special menu. But the items from their regular menu were great . We made reservation and still had to wait for little bit but given that it was valentine I did not care much. I wish they had more seats or space in waiting area since space is kinda cramped. I will definitely go there for food though

Excellent sushi bar, restaurant, staff, the food. The Venue, has outdoor & indoor seating, we sat at the sushi bar, the chef ‍ was amazing & our waitress was just as amazing. The food was delicious a great spin on sushi. New age style rolls. The fish was so fresh & they have white tuna. A delicacy served by few restaurants. Ty we will be back.

Had a wonderful experience. My husband and I did the Omakase and it was absolutely amazing! Everything was so fresh! Our server was Mila and she was so friendly and welcoming! Explained everything to us as it was brought out. We were there for about 2 and a half hours and it was nothing but outstanding! Chefs were amazing! The atmosphere was lovely. The hostess was on it. We will definitely be back and will recommend to everyone!

Had my birthday dinner here last night. Honestly it was the BEST meal I’ve had in years! And the staff – from the chef, to sushi chefs, to bartender to serving and seating staff…everyone – is top notch and friendly. Great experience!

Fairly well executed dishes. Their pricing was rather expensive, almost to a Nobu level….not sure if that’s just what the area calls for?

We enjoyed the Wagyu Beef Carpacio, and a couple of the rolls. The appetizers are good, nothing out of the ordinary. The shrimp tempura was crispy and not oily.

The restaurant itself is rather small so definitely recommend a reservation.

had an amazing dinner with my family here, ordered all the nigiri options on the social hour menu, miso soup, toro sashimi, bao buns, and their limited edition cocktail “autumn’s embrace”. We loved everything. Our server Mila was incredible, super attentive, kind and helpful. I would 100% come back just for her service.

My daughter and I came here as a last night’s dinner in Palm Springs. We had just came from a full body scrub and massage and were looking forward to a nice sushi dinner.

We found this place advertised in a local magazine and thought we’d give it a shot.

Love the location and atmosphere.

However, the service was subpar and the sushi seemed like it was taken out from the refrigerator or freezer, like it was still defrosting.

We ordered cocktails, scallops sushi, tuna hand rolls (which was more like a cold shaved piece of tuna), a selection of nigiris and the large sashimi platter. I think it had 16 or 32 pieces. I forget. It was the largest one. My daughter and I literally ate about 6 pieces and gave up on the rest.

As previously mentioned, the sushi didn’t seem fresh. It tasted like it was still defrosting. Some pieces were still really firm from it being so cold.

We let our waitress know, who was apparently new and nervous on what to do. She said she would speak to someone but when she came back said she couldn’t do anything. I asked to speak to the manager who said the most she could do was give us a discount on the sashimi because it’s an expensive order. All the more I would expect it to taste good and fresh but to her logic since it was expensive she couldn’t take it off the bill.

While this was all going on, we noticed the couple next to us just paid their bill and left half their food on the table.

We ended up doing the same and decided to go to Kitchen in the Desert in twentynine palms for dinner, steering away from sushi for the rest of the evening, since we were still hungry.

If you’re looking for Omakase tasting experience, I’m highly recommend this place. It is truly a unique, special dining experience. Jessica was my chef, she’s really creative, prepared each dish with care and precision. Their fish is so fresh and expertly prepared, and their chefs are highly skilled and passionate about their craft. The atmosphere at The Venue Sushi is also top-notch, with a modern and chic interior design that’s perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic dinner date.
In addition to the delicious food and the friendly staff, Omakase at The Venue is definitely a visual feast, with each dish presented in a beautiful and artful way. It’s a dining experience that’s not to be missed!!!

It’s a been a while since I’ve been here, maybe a decade. Still just as great as I remember. I’m a bit surprised about the lower rating but maybe it’s bc they got stuck at the outdoor patio in the cold.

Overall, all the sushi is creative with a mix of sauces and aiolis. The Fish n Chips was different but the addition of jalapeños added that spice that you aren’t used to with Japanese food. My only complaint they don’t have Asahi. Idk but I’m going back, hopefully sooner than next decade.
