Best breakfast around old man Harvey reminded me of my great-grandfather….(update) went back for dinner. wanted a burger but they were out of meat… no big deal had the best fried shrimp and my wife got some awesome fish. go check them out while old man Harvey is still kicking. You won’t be disappointed.

the wife and I just hiked Russell Cave trails and were in the mood for calories. we just had to have a burger competition between Harvey’s Pirate Drive-In (cheese burger) and Dixie Freeze (southwest burger). we had the dog with us, so the challenge had to be done in the car.
both burgers were fantastic! the only thing we weren’t huge fans of, and not that they were bad, Harvey’s fries just couldn’t beat Dixie’s tots.
it was a fun competition for us and we highly recommend the burger from Harvey’s – there’s no wrong choice. if we ever find ourselves traveling through Pittsburg TN again, we’ll have to repeat this challenge!

Cheese burgers were very good and the peanut butter milkshake was one of the best I have ever had and I have had 100’s. Place does not look very impressive by any means but the food is very good. Priced very reasonable and we were treated as if we came in everyday and this was our first visit. We had been told to try by friends and they were right.

We stopped due to the other reviews. Real hamburger….made to order. Sweet tea is SWEET! Like others have said, it looks like a hole in the wall, BUT the food is good! Prices are reasonable. Large fish sandwich filled the bun. Will stop again if we are in the area! Staff is SUPER friendly!

Got it to go. Went here as a kid many years ago. Harvey was there and chatted with us while we waited on our food. Got some history on the local football team. I had been craving an old fashioned hamburger. They did not disappoint. My only regret is that I should have eaten it slower.

The place doesn’t look like much but the food and service are really good! Highly recommend the hamburger and fries. Now when you go in you’ll be thinking.. what have I stepped into here, what is that odor. But stay! Order the hamburger and you’ll know why you’re there. The utensils, glasses and plates were clean. The water is really good and filtered. The staff was super friendly.

I’ve been going there for years. My favorite item is the foot long chili dog, can’t get those just anywhere. Homemade chili and slaw makes it perfect. They have great burgers too. It’s not fancy but it’s good cooking for a reasonable price.
