Mido Omakase Room was an absolutely spectacular omakase experience that truly gets everything right. My wife and I were lucky enough to secure a reservation a few weeks before Valentine’s Day, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip to Brooklyn.
We were seated in a private booth, which immediately made the evening feel extra special and personal. The level of care and attention throughout the meal was outstanding. Honestly, I was surprised this restaurant doesn’t have Michelin recognition yet — the presentation, quality, variety, and overall flavor of each course were exceptional.
Our server Zin and our waitress Alice were both fantastic. They took the time to explain each piece of fish, the sake pairings, and the preparation details, which made the experience feel thoughtful and immersive rather than rushed or overly formal.
The ambiance is intimate and beautifully captures the feel of a high-end, authentic Japanese sushi experience. The atmosphere felt warm, refined, and memorable without feeling pretentious.
Our Valentine’s dinner here was truly perfect, and we’re very grateful to the servers, sushi chefs, and owners for creating such a wonderful dining experience. Five stars honestly feels like an understatement. Highly recommended, and we would absolutely return.

Had an amazing experience at Mido Omakase Room with my two friends! We were a party of three, and our host, Richard, made the evening unforgettable. He was super funny, welcoming, and really added to the overall vibe of the place. The food was top-notch—each course was a masterpiece and the flavors were spot on. The service was impeccable, with the staff making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great omakase experience!

I am not lying when I say every single thing was delicious. Unlike most omakase experiences where the experience feels a bit quiet and/or stiff.. this place has staff who are smiling and seem to be in good spirits. Everyone was so kind and they went around to show us a pic of the type of fish for every piece of nigiri on their iPad.. it was cute. We were also listening to some early 2000s hits… which I never had with omakase before lol but I was singing along and giggling with my man while drinking sake and eating sushi.

Fantastic omakase experience. The quality of the fish was top-tier, and every piece was prepared with care and intention. You can really tell the chef takes pride in the craft. Service was friendly and attentive without feeling stiff. A great place if you’re looking for an authentic and satisfying omakase.

Went with their classic omakase and it blew my mind. Each course (15, including oyster & kaisendon) was excptionally fresh, and some had a bit of creative twist that elevated the flavor. Could get a little smokey inside, but that added some fun to the olfactory experience. Also, expect a little glitter at the end of the course 😉

I have never had such an incredible experience. I learned about the fish, each piece had its own special flavors. They all came out at a pleasant pace, not too fast, not too slow. And it was a nice mix of raw and seared… I’m floored and will absolutely be back!
