The Hulman is such a cute spot with great brunch and dinner options! The Cannonball lounge is upstairs and a great place to grab some drinks after dinner. Jamie was our waitress and was SO hospitable. She had great recommendations for us and we loved our time here!

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. The restaurant was very well maintained and visibly clean, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly, and while the food was moderately decent, the service truly stood out. We had no wait time to be seated, and our orders were memorized and served promptly.
I especially want to highlight Karen, who made our experience exceptional. She recommended great places for us to visit while in town and provided outstanding, friendly service throughout our stay. This morning, as we were heading out and struggling to pour four cups of coffee, she kindly offered us a carry-out drink container even though the restaurant was closed due to it being so early in the morning. Her thoughtfulness and dedication did not go unnoticed.
Overall, her service made our stay memorable, and we will definitely be coming back.

A friend and I dined at FIRE by Henri Najem last night before attending an ISO concert, and we had a delightful experience. Our host, Jay, emphasized that the focus is on wood-fired dishes. He highly recommended the locally sourced eight-ounce filet, served with mashed potatoes and broccolini, which I ordered. The steak was cooked to perfection and very flavorful, and the meal was an excellent value with two included side dishes. Jay also recommended the Ora King Salmon, served with rice and mushrooms, which my friend ordered. She found her meal delicious, too, noting that the sauce was especially good.
Our server (a young woman whose name we didn’t catch) kindly honored our request for small side salads in lieu of the larger salads. My Caesar salad came with two pieces of AMAZING wood-fired bread. My friend enjoyed her garden salad and raved about the heirloom tomatoes – high praise from a woman who grows her own tomatoes!
The atmosphere was quiet (which we appreciated after the busyness of restaurants during Devour Indy), and we enjoyed the cozy feeling of sitting next to a fire feature. Jay regaled us with mixology stories from his years in Hawaii, which we found enchanting.
The restaurant is located inside Hotel Indy, and neither the hotel entrance nor the restaurant entrance was easy to find. I think they would benefit from better signage and visibility from the street. Also, note that most of the reviews showing in Google are actually for the previous restaurant in that location, The Hulman.
We dined on an AmEx Resy credit, which my friend receives quarterly. We look forward to returning to FIRE next quarter!

Hello there. The food was delicious. Crispy chicken was juicy and savory. They really knew how to cook.
But 4 stars are given in advance, since they recently opened. The service was not so great but they were able to negotiate mistakes easily, that made a good impression.
Nice and clean area, a lot of space and comfortable accommodation.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is great. It looks amazing and is a great place to hang out. The cocktail menu is innovative and the service is fantastic. Food was good but I wouldn’t say great. While the pork tenderloin and cornbread dish was good it wasn’t hot and pork want easy to cut. The duck main needed more flavor.

We were here on Valentine’s Day before a Nate Bargatze comedy show. The drinks were good and the apps were good. Unfortunately the food never showed. We waited over an hour and never got our food so we had to finally leave to make the show. The staff was rushing around the whole night and clearly had an issue with the kitchen and couldn’t get food to people. Our waiter was great but everything else was a bad experience. #stillhungry

On the positive side, this new restaurant has a spacious and modern atmosphere and our guests praised the steaks, pastas and salmon. The service was friendly but inattentive and sluggish. We were seated quickly with menus, but nobody came to take a drink or appetizer order for 10 minutes till we waived someone down. Appetizers arrived and were delicious, but no plates and utensils were cleared. Main courses took 45 minutes to arrive, even though the restaurant was not busy. Fortunately, everyone enjoyed their main courses.

I ordered the 16oz steak – well done with garlic potatoes and sauteed mushrooms. It’s was simply amazing. Not over cooked or over seasoned. Perfection! I definitely will be ordering again!
