I ordered a couple of pies two weeks ago. We’ve been here a few times and it was always pretty good, especially for being in the neighborhood. One of our pizzas was a Margherita, with mushrooms and half anchovies. What we got was a mess. Instead of fresh basil on the entire pie, there were dried (cooked) leaves on one half of it. The mushrooms likewise ended up mostly in the center/one side and what appeared to be a can of Hunts diced tomatoes dumped all over it. I’ve included a picture of the pizza.
Of course, I hadn’t inspected it when I picked it up, but called when I got home and opened the box. The young lady who answered the phone listened to my complaint and then just said, “you gotta talk to Sal” and put me on hold. After a minute or so, Sal picked up and was very dismissive, but did admit he knew that he only put basil on part of the pizza. He didn’t want to talk about the mushrooms at all, but finally said he would take care of it the next time I come in.
I can get around a place not knowing how to make a proper Margherita pizza (shouldn’t have it on the menu, but whatever). What I can’t get over is an attitude like that. I spent $50 at this place, and when my order wasn’t what I expected, I politely pointed out the issues. Instead of an honest apology and a solution to make it right, I got attitude and a vague promise to “make it right” the next time. Well, Sal, there won’t be a next time. Amici’s may be super convenient, but bad food and crappy attitude lost you my business.

We ordered a large veggie with pepperoni. It was delivered as promised. The owners are involved in our community and are decent people.
The pizza was freshly prepared with sautéed veggies in it. It was just OK. After all the local hype about how great it was, honestly Amici’s does not make my top 5 here in Tampa. Yes, we love pizza.
We also ordered buffalo wings, again prepared in an excellent manner. Not fried to a crisp, juicy, etc… We make better buffalo sauce at home.
Everything was prepared well, delivered well, etc. they have a nice out door seating area at Park Square, but honestly, the food was not for us.
Not “bashing” the establishment, we, my family, did not care for the food. This is our opinion, I know many others carry on about there love of the menu.
Nothing scary here, dirt, sticky floors, etc… give it a try, maybe it is for you!

I generally don’t give 5 stars out, but it’s been awhile since I had a slice of pizza this good.
The thin crust is cooked to perfection giving a fantastic mouth feel of gooey cheese, warm sauce and crispy, flaky crust. The sauce, cheese, and crust all blend perfectly without over powering the other. Best part is, I don’t feel heavy after eating it. This was my second time here, and they stuck the landing again.
This is a location where you can walk in and have a conversation, wait outside, smell the dough rising, and create memories. Few food places offer that experience.

Tried this place for the first time tonight. Probably the greasiest pizza I’ve ever had. Even the wings were just swimming in grease, rather than sauce. Well that and the ranch that that spilled because the top wasn’t on. Overall it was mediocre at best. In reality it’s probably one of the worst pizza options in the area. We paid over $40 for a pizza, wings, tax and a generous tip. We will definitely not back, and will continue to point people looking for good pizza to Justin’s on 301.
Edit…. After having a bit to eat and trying the pizza while not super hungry, this place really doesn’t even deserve 1 star.

It’s meh.. The pizza was swimming in grease. Take out only, but the outdoor seating is quaint. Maybe NY pizza is not my family’s thing. Salad was also very meh.

We ordered a few cheese slices, which were just ok. The crust was nice and thin, but something was off in order to make it true New York style pizza. Perhaps it needed more cheese..? It was nice to be able to get a slice, rather than buying a whole pie. It wasn’t bad pizza, but definitely not NY style.
Also, do note there is no indoor seating and washrooms. We were visiting with an older relative who needed a washroom, but there was none available.

Instead of repeating what Adam said, those are my feelings exactly. Way under par for what is considered NY Style in terms of flavor and texture of pizza. You can tell the quality of a pizzeria from just ordering their cheese pizza, and as you can tell by the picture, they are on the lower side. Good for kids. If in the area, visit Fishhawk Pizza, they are on the expensive side (of course high prices in Fishhawk) but they are really good
