Wonderful restaurant in Marco Island! The food was excellent and plentiful. The parmesan baked scallops appetizer was sooo good and the baked brie was as well. The menu has a great variety of offering as well as gluten free items. Anne our server was very attentive and fun. We will definitely go again!

Verdi’s Bistro – Marco Island’s Hidden Gem

I’ve been visiting Marco Island on and off for more than ten years, yet somehow Verdi’s Bistro managed to fly under my radar—until this past week. Tucked unassumingly into a small strip mall beside a bagel shop, Verdi’s is one of those delightful surprises that remind you never to judge a place by its parking lot.

Warm smiles, a cozy atmosphere, and an imaginative menu that goes well beyond bistro classics set the tone the moment you walk in. Vince, the owner, is as genuine and gracious as they come—his presence infuses the room with a welcoming energy that carries through the entire dining experience. The team, led by our wonderful server Allie, matched that spirit perfectly: attentive, personable, and clearly proud of what they do.

The crispy duck was cooked to perfection—crisp skin, tender meat, rich and balanced. The beet salad was bright and flavorful (though I was surprised they chose blue cheese over the usual goat), and the meatballs? Instantly addictive. The wine list is modest, but I’d love to see Vince get a little bolder here—there’s room for creative pairings that could elevate the experience even further and match the kitchen’s ambition.

Verdi’s isn’t trying to be trendy or flashy. It’s real, heartfelt dining—crafted by people who love what they do. If you haven’t been, make it your next reservation. You’ll leave full, happy, and wondering how you ever missed it. Guaranteed.

We had a fantastic experience at Verdi’s on Marco Island! Our group of 13 was seated and served quickly, and every meal came out perfectly. Everyone loved their entrees, and our server was friendly, attentive, and efficient. The restaurant was spotless, and the owner went out of his way to make sure we were happy. Highly recommend Verdi’s for great food and excellent service!

I ordered the chicken penne and a beet salad. I must’ve made a mistake and ordered small plates cause the portions were about half the size of a Styrofoam container. When I ordered them on the Internet, it said the one entrée was $28 and the beet salad was 14 so by my math that comes out to $42 but I was billed 57. I called the restaurant to see what could’ve been the difference in price and they said they would call me back but nobody ever did. I guess Vince is in charge but he didn’t seem to be too concerned or he would’ve called me. In this day and time when we’re constantly overcharged, you expect to be taken care of in a way that makes you feel good. This was not a good experience. Food was mediocre at best.

We were here on my Birthday evening a few days ago. A mixed bag ..

The good: They wrote Happy Birthday on our tablecloth and wished me a Happy Birthday. A nice touch. Server was quick to welcome us and walked through the specials. The rack of lamb was beautifully prepared and well flavored. The special for the night Shrimp Scampi was also a hit for a member of our party.

The bad: They had the door open when we arrived (Thursday night dinner) and left it open for most of the meal service. Flies flew in and the restaurant was not as cool due to the door being open. The shrimp and scallops was sloppily assembled and not prepared like the expensive dish it was. Where was the care and distinctive flavors on this dish? The bigger issue was the wait staff. Our server, a seemingly nice woman who spoke Portuguese and Spanish, was thoroughly engrossed in another table that spoke Spanish. We barely saw here after they arrived. She was rushed and not clear with us on menu choices. Very disappointing. Never saw a manager or anyone else who asked how was our meals.

We used to love Verdi’s, but they now lack a lot of appeal after this experience.

Always a pleasure visiting Verdis. We had a wedding rehearsal dinner there, and Vince was more than accommodating along with his great staff. Food as always excellent and the Silver Oak wine superb! Been going to this restaurant for years every time we visit Marco.

We had great service here! The food came out quickly and we were attended to. But the food just didn’t cut it. The menu looked so promising!! The scallop appetizer had maybe 4 very very tiny scallops. Wiki wiki shrimp ended up being popcorn shrimp with bang bang sauce. Clam chowder was ok. The shrimp scampi pasta was very bland. The surf and turf (two shrimp on a steak) was very bland, cooked well but no seasoning, asparagus was inedible.

Most awful Veil I’ve had in my life… it was probably frozen and the microwave defrosted… looked and tasted like boiled but was undercooked and very greasy at the same time the dish was just a joke … and definitely not worth the hefty price their appetizers are funny in size and quality also … overall places like that simply shouldn’t exist…!!! Beware cheeky and low quality food…!!!

1.3. Went for dinner tonight. We waited 20 minutes after being seated to get water and to order drinks. We started with the PEI mussels for an appetizer. They were extremely dry and salty, which come to find out, was only a precursor for what was to come. The wedge salad was awful. It mentioned that it included croutons, which I forgot to omit given my GF nature, but thought I would merely pick them off. It turns out that they were shaved all across the entire salad. I had to order a second (pictured). The dressing was gross and thick like glue. Lastly, I ordered the filet for my main. It / the Demi glaze were extremely salty and the dish was entirely cold. It came with 2 pieces of asparagus, but the saving grace was that the steak was cooked perfectly mid rare. Also, there were no allergen indicators on the menu whatsoever. I would not return.

Quaint Dining Experience

This was a nice find on Marco Island. If you’re looking for a good meal that is reasonably priced and menu variety – this is the place for you.

My partner and decided to stop in after reading the reviews and were pleased with the meal.

We ordered the fettuccine vongole and the rack of lamb. We decided against appetizers since the entrées come with a salad (for a small charge you can upgrade to a specialty salad).

I upgraded to the spinach salad and my partner the beet and goat cheese. Both salads were pretty good. The fettuccine vongole was made with fresh, house made gluten free noodles which was a surprise. I am not one for gluten free, but I couldn’t taste the difference. My only complaint is that it was a tad salty for me. My partner said his rack of lamb woth asparagus and mashed potatoes was very good.

We finished out the evening with bread pudding. Also good.

Overall a good experience.
