We went early on a quiet Saturday evening (October 11). We were promptly greeted and seated. Our guide on the upcoming dining adventure was quick to introduce themseves and make suggestions for our meal. What a wonderful adventure we were about to undertake.
We started with the pan fried chicken Momo’s. Momo’s are dumplings, much like pot stickers, that are offered in multiple cooking styles. With the help of our dining guide, we selected the pan fried ones and they were perfectly spiced, lightly pan fried, and spiced with a wonderful mixture of Indian and eastern spices. What a great way to start!
For our entrees we chose chicken tikki masala and chicken patak. We selected naan as a side dish and enjoyed cocktails from their well stocked and suitably priced bar menu while we waited for the entrees to be served. The wait was short and the offerings were delightful. The chicken masala was perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. The chicken patak was also a true winner! It was spiced a little more aggresively, but not so spicy as to mute the other wonderful flavors always found in a patak.
The servings are large, and that provided us with some amazing goodies to take home for later. All was priced reasonably and the quality and unique menu is unlike anything else in Corinth or the Lake Cities.
Temple Tandoor is an opportunity for local residents, as well as those passing through Corinth, to enjoy amazing Indian and Nepali dishes without leaving town. You will enjoy every bite!
Knowing the restaurant was new, we wanted to try a few dishes. We started off with some momo kothey (chicken) – absolutely delicious. Large enough to be a meal on its own if you’re getting it for yourself.
We followed that with the Chicken Tikka Masala with regular naan, and the Paneer Butter Masala with garlic naan ($1 upcharge for the garlic). Both dishes came out piping hot and delicious. While the serving size isn’t large, it is extremely flavorful.
For the 3 dishes, with waters, the bill was ~$45 before tip.
Will definitely be back in the future.
So here’s what happened: we were just casually driving by when this brand-new spot caught our eyes. Curiosity (and hunger ) pulled us in, and boom, we landed ourselves in a Nepali food haven!
We kicked things off with chicken steamed momo (fluffy little happiness bombs ), garlic naan (yes, I know it’s not Nepali, but who says no to naan?), and chicken chilly (spicy enough to wake your taste buds but not your neighbors) absolutely delicious! . The place itself? Super welcoming, service on point , and as if that wasn’t enough, they surprised us with complimentary papad + tamarind sauce. Small gesture, big smile.
Since we live nearby, this is definitely going into our repeat-visit list. A couple of friendly suggestions:
Booth seating could add a cozy vibe (perfect for those of us who like to sink into food and cushions).
Please add more authentic Nepali staples like: bhuttan thali, taas, sekuwa, choila, and of course the most important one: chowmin! (I’m betting you’re already working on it ).
Just rooting for this place to shine brighter with even more Nepali delicacies.
There was a noticeable lack of communication and urgency, which made the experience frustrating instead of enjoyable. Dining out should feel welcoming, but unfortunately, the service here made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers.
I hope management takes customer feedback seriously and invests in better training, because good service matters just as much as the food.
This place is a gem! I hope we all support this restaurant so they stay and I promise, you will not be disappointed.
The staff are super sweet and respectful, and they always make sure we’re taken care of. Every visit has been a great experience.
