Had a very nice date night with my wife at Peter Pratt’s Inn. The property is beautiful, and with nice weather, we chose to sit outside. The service was very friendly, but as it started to get a little busier, we found ourselves waiting longer for the wait staff. The food was good, as we had the chef’s specials – lobster roll, roasted tomato and pepper soup, and butterflied shrimp appetizer. Their mango mojito mocktail was really good. I’m giving four stars only because while the food was good, it was rather pricey for quality. Our bill was about $100, and for that price I was expecting better than good. It was definitely delicious, but in my eyes not the “wow” I would have paid such a premium for. Also we weren’t told there was a $3 fee for credit cards. I get it if the amount is a small amount. But our bill before the fee was $97, and had they mentioned it, I would have happily given cash. Lost a star on that.

Bottom line is that it’s a beautiful and romantic setting, good food, but rather expensive.

I go on Thursdays for music downstairs in the bar, and I do like the place. Music goes until 9, but the happy hour menu ends at 7, and there are usually less than 8 of us at the bar (happy hour is at bar only). At 7:02 I was told I was too late to get the happy hour price on their $30 hamburger, and I walked in with a knee scooter and a cast on one foot from their gravel lot. A little better customer service would have been nice, that’s all. I do not know if that is policy or about the bartender’s tip, but either way it was 2 minutes and I was handicapped. I will still return.

Beautiful restaurant, super cozy and great atmosphere. Great service, amazing food and drinks. I had the mussels which were perfect, along with the frites steak with a delicious peppercorn sauce. The strawberry Moscow mule was just what I wanted as well. Definitely planning to come back. Only thing was it was a little chilly and am hoping the fireplace will be on the next time because that will also add to the cozy atmosphere.

1st time at the Inn, celebrating our anniversary. Fabulous spot, a blend of early American history and sophisticated cuisine. We can’t wait to come back!

The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and the waiter’s behavior was nice at the beginning. We ordered steak and asked for it to be cooked medium well, but it was served well done. Before finishing all the dishes, we told the waiter that any order that had meat in it was well done, not medium well. We said this is just for you to improve the quality of the food, so he told us that what I see in front of me is medium well and not as you claim. I told him that I want to ask the chef, and he said that he is busy. I said that I want to ask the manager, and his behavior was very bad, as if he was complaining about work. The manager came and his behavior was worse than the waiter’s. Every time I told him something, he said to me that it is not you who teaches me. I told him that it was just advice. He said that I do not take advice from you nor do I take comments from you. The atmosphere was nice, the service was nice until we reached the last point, you as a manager must learn how to win the person over to your side and make him deal with you. The treatment was very rude from the waiter or the manager.

PP is a rotational local restaurant for us. Since the change in ownership about 20 months ago it has been steadily going down hill. Last evening was terrible. Bar food service slow, burgers were served not as ordered. It took over 40 minutes…mussels were excellent.

Friendly service but it took forever to get out good. Food was mediocre at best and not worth the wait. French onion soup was like water. Branzino was ok but largely tasteless.

Had a holiday happy hour with friends at the local historic bar and restaurant. Friendly bartender, great drinks and appetizers. Duck, quesidilla is the best! Decorated beautifully.

Had dinner here tonight with a few friends and I must say, I was very impressed. I knew the food was good but I did not know it was this good.

Also I loved the entire menu, it was perfect.

We had the burrata, duck quesadillas, the ceviche, lobster rolls & of course their excellent strawberry Moscow mules.

We enjoyed every second of it. The ambiance and music was perfect as well. Enver is a very special man and we appreciated his hospitality. We will be back again for sure. Thank you!
