Fish Hawk Acres catered a wedding I happened to get lucky enough to document and I would almost refuse to take on any future wedding unless they also had Fish Hawk Acres do the catering! This couple in particular wanted to feature West Virginia throughout their entire day and Fish Hawk Acres created the most stunning menu including ramps and pepperoni rolls! Not only was the food delicious, but the presentation was stunning. I’ve had my fair share of catered wedding meals and I will remember this one for the rest of my life. It was truly that wonderful! I visited this restaurant Jan 2023. Loved the atmosphere. I was intrigued by the selections as in menu, variety of prepared take home meals, deli meats and cheeses and fresh vegetables. Also visited the gift shop which is two doors down. It features a nice selection of items made by WV artisans, a wine selection and live plants for home. I had the “Crabby Patty” and tasted the “Ramp Burger”. Both were very delicious!

A must stop if looking for food in Buckhannon. One of my favorite lunch spots and I loved the Italian Stallion. The fresh sliced Italian meat and the pesto are the most amazing combination. Fresh baked cookies are always a perfect sweet treat too. Highly recommend.

Our wedding caterer knocked it out of the park! The food was absolutely incredible — flavorful, beautifully presented, and enjoyed by every single guest. We’re still hearing rave reviews from friends and family about how amazing the meal was (which says a lot, because wedding food can be hit or miss — but this was a total hit!).
From cocktail hour to dinner, everything was served on time, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The team was so professional, friendly, and organized — they made everything feel seamless and stress-free.

We originally booked Fish Hawk Acres to cater our daughter’s wedding, but when our venue plans changed, they could not have been more flexible or accommodating. Instead of a full dinner, we shifted to a wedding day brunch — and they absolutely delivered!
The food was incredible. The casseroles were hearty and flavorful, and the pastries were truly unforgettable — fresh, flaky, and beautifully presented. Every item tasted homemade with care and attention to detail.

We just missed lunch as they stopped serving at 3:00pm and we got there about 3:05. So we decided to buy pre-made foods from their cooler section. Overall, not bad, not great, I’m sure their menu items were better. But the staff was friendly and still made us feel welcome.

Best. Hotdogs. Ever! Toppings are great, but it’s the dog itself that makes it outstanding.
Customer serve is excellent. We had a miscommunication with my son’s order. The gentleman who served us was quick to notice the problem and quick to fix it. We always enjoy coming to Fish Hawk!

WV Metal Detecting
Got there right at the time when the kitchen was set to close, but we’re made to feel welcomed. They even took extra time to make fresh food for my family and I. All of our sandwiches were excellent felt like they were made with love. Had a great time. Would definitely recommend stopping here.
