UPDATE: Can food get any better? Last night we went for food and the game. Let me tell you they NEVER disappoint. They even stayed open late for us to watch the game and hangout. We had an epic night cuz of the amazing Smokin Oak crew!
Let’s get to the outstanding food. Oh first did you know the owner is a top notch trained culinary chef? If you have eaten the food you definitely can tell.
Let’s start with the appetizer the Brussels Sprouts she uses smoked bacon balsamic and tons of yumminess. Even brussel sprout haters love this one.
The Smoked Chili is BACK and loaded. Let’s just say EVERYTHING is better smoked. You thought you had Chili nope not til you’ve tried this one.
The prime rib sandwich with au jus melts in your mouth.
All the meat is smoked on the in house smokers and if you say please they will give you a tour and it’s very impressive.
Stop driving by and get in to eat the best smoked deliciousness in the area. 
First Experience :Absolutely fantastic food done right. The French Onion Soup is the best I’ve ever had she even figured out how to keep the croutons crispy.
Every-time we have the specials they are always to die for. The smoked shrimp appetizer is sooo delicious you want to drink the sauce after you inhale these perfectly cooked and flavored shrimp.
The brisket is always an excellent choice with amazing smoke flavor and in house sauces to bring out the flavors even more. Each sauce is unique and flavorful you want to try them all and can’t decide which you like best out of the 4.
The restaurant is super clean, organized, neat, comfy, bright cheerful atmosphere. The staff and owner are very friendly and hands on making you feel comfortable and at home. They ensure everything is to your standard throughout the meal making sure you have perfect service and everything you need.
This is a welcoming environment to stop in for a quick meal or settle in to watch the big screens and hangout for awhile with great conversation.
It has become one of our local favorites.

Went on a Thursday to have the smoked meatloaf. Staff is super friendly and remebered us from our last visit. Catered to our keto diet every time. A+ comfort food. Fast, friendly and great value. Sauces are home made and taste delicious.

Small town vibes, huge on taste!! Best BBQ ribs I have ever tasted, and that’s saying something! My only gripe is that the server ignored me so hard I feared I may have gone invisible! He had asked if my son and I were from the area or passing through. I am local, but my son answered first and explained that it was his first visit. I never got to respond, because he engaged in conversation with him about his major in school and career goals and then just walked away! The craziest part was that I was the one paying for our meal- and the tip besides!! I had anticipated visiting this establishment since I moved here, and was disappointed with the treatment I received. If this is the level of appreciation I am regarded with for supporting local economy, I don’t care HOW good the ribs were, I would rather starve. I left him 15% for custom, but he was supposed to get $25.

I love good barbecue, and after driving by several times and smelling the smoke, we finally got a chance to stop and try the food. We ordered a half rack of ribs, baked beans, mac & cheese w/cornbread.
The ribs were great. The sides could use a little tweaking but were good, and the cornbread was very good. Definitely worth the time. Very nice inside, and our waiter was excellent, we will definitely be back to try the brisket and pulled chicken/pork.

My husband and I stopped for the first time at Smokin’ Oak BBQ in Montello today – Thursday 5/16/24 at 2pm. We had passed it several times and have been meaning to give it a try. Well we did! The food was FANTASTIC. Together, we ordered 1/2 rack of Ribs, Smoked Brisket Sandwich, Coleslaw, Homemade Mac ‘n Cheese, cornbread, Onion Rings w/Ranch, drinks, and Banana Cream Pudding w/Vanilla Wafers. The meat was done PERFECTLY. So tasty, tender, & juicy. The homemade sauces were excellent and so many choices. Both the Homemade Mac ‘n Cheese & Banana Cream Pudding was to die for. We will be spreading the word about this place. Great friendly staff, fast service, clean, very reasonable prices and a laid back atmosphere. Outside seating available and pet friendly. We will be bringing our dogs with next time. Perfect place to bring your out of town guests too! Who doesn’t love BBQ? So give it a try. Short drive from Adams/Grand Marsh/Oxford… even the Dells. Don’t miss this place. You won’t be disappointed.

Nestled in a grove of trees is one of the most surprising BBQ places! Smoking Oak has such amazing flavors that it will make you want to come back again. We were greeted promptly at the door when we walked in. There is a sign to make sure you check in before sitting. The bartender said “Welcome, we are all about smoking meats and relaxing”. That’s what we were looking for. The bar and restaurant are super clean. We opted for outside and the shade from the trees was perfect with the breeze on a hot summer day. They have indoor or covered seating outside with fans if you prefer. They have live music in the afternoons if you catch it. Parking lot is big enough for boats, bikes, UTVs, or whatever you got. I had a half rack of juicy, dry rubbed goodness that came with two sides and corn bread. (That’s a lot of food!) My husband had brisket which had no sides, so I ordered one of my sides for him. They make their own Mac n’ Cheese which is creamy and cheesy, with large noodles. I had ordered buttered baby reds which came out with green onions in them. Wasn’t what I was expecting, but I was so happy. The flavors all complemented each other. They must make their own sauces, which enhance every bite. We will definitely be back. Prices are so reasonable, staff is friendly, food was hot and so finger licking flavorful. Give it try!

We were in the area and thought we’d give this place a try. If I could give it 100 stars I would…it was absolutely Amazing!!! From the moment we walked up to the door, we were welcomed in and received great service throughout the visit, including the owner coming out to chat , making sure everything was going well. The food was absolutely incredible. I had the brisket nachos, and they were absolute perfection. I can’t say enough good things about this place. We live about 2 hours away, but I would make that drive again and again.

Amazing Bbq! We had the ribs beans coleslaw and a side of fries. Ribs were fork tender and sides were all excellent! 5 varieties of homemade bbq sauces each one was delicious! Service was top notch! Worth a drive.
