I was here for my friend’s birthday dinner, and all the food not only tasted so flavourful and heavenly but is also extremely visually appealing! The seafood seemed fresh, and the effort put into making these rolls is reflected in the taste.
Only the miso soup was a little too salty for me, but that should be an easy fix for them.
The staff are also super friendly.
Free on-site parking can be found in front of the restaurant.

Everyone recommends their San Francisco roll, which has torched salmon on top of the sushi, and it is indeed delicious! We tried their Sushi Pizza too, since that’s a little more unique and not so common, plus a few rolls. Food was delicious! The Sakura tree made an interesting restaurant decor. Only drawback of this place is that sometimes the wait staff don’t really seem to be around so you may need to wait a bit until they come out to assist. Might explain why I saw many take out/pick up orders!

Overall, great experience. I had takeout and it was a very easy process, especially because the wrapping was strong and leak proof. This is important to me because I have to walk to my house. Prices were very competitive. One thing, is that I would not eat-in because the atmosphere is not attractive.

My fave local sushi spot especially for delivery when I’m lazy ! I go coconuts roll is my fave ( been searching for a place for years that does a coconut roll closer than downtown Van) and Sam Francisco roll is a 10/10 for me too ! I had to get the Ebi aburi to show some friends how good fusion can be ( with Parmesan and olive)

Ordered san francisco roll, bc roll, futo maki, toro nigiri, and unagi nigiri. San francisco roll was so flavorful! The food was fresh and yummy. Great portion with reasonable price. Highly recommend!

Sushi was okay. Not bad for the Walnut Grove area. We ordered the San Francisco roll (×2), prawn tempura, a negitoro roll, salmon nigiri and hokki nigiri. Prawn tempura was missing the dipping sauce, which really makes the dish lose a lot of flavor. The sushi rice seemed a bit off – a little on the hard side. The salmon nigiri was a little wet, like when you defrost something and it has a lot of moisture. The San Fran roll was flavorful and filling. Overall, I’m on the fence with this place. I may try it again in the future to see if today was an off day.

I came here once for dinner while in town for a conference. We ordered a sushi combo and chicken donburi. The tempura in both the yam and dynamite rolls were freshly fried. The dynamite roll had two pieces of shrimp instead of the usual one at most places. The chicken donburi came with a good amount of vegetables and sauce. The service was fast and friendly. Our tea cups were promptly refilled. Prices were reasonable and portions were relatively large. The quality wasn’t excellent, but about what I had expected. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised with the meal and would return in the future if we needed a quick bite in the area.

We entered the door and no one was out to greet us. We waited until the chief behind the bar looked at us, and he waved his hands towards the seat beside us. We waited for another 5 mins until a server came to give us the menu. The table was not cleaned properly, there were still sticky sauce traces.
We ordered, and waited for almost 30 mins for the food to come up. The tako sushi was hard and chewy, dry and tasteless. Other than, the sushi rolls were ok, the tempuras were good.
And the entrance door, every time someone comes in or go out, the door closed so loudly, not just loud, but like the surrounding was shaking. Not pleasant for seating near the entrance.
Won’t come back again. Ok food, but definitely disappointing service.

Been going here for 5+ years. Absolutely amazing owner and staff. Awesome atmosphere and great food.
Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a sushi place. Chicken don is the best one I have had compared to others.
