Veraci Pizza Wedgwood

  4.4 – 276 reviews   • Pizza restaurant

We are a small, local family business cooking delicious gourmet Italian-style wood-fired pizza in the Seattle area. We build our own massive (wood-fired) clay ovens – and mix all of our amazing pizza dough by hand, every day. We make fresh pesto and other top-level gourmet ingredients in small batches to insure we serve only the best quality. Veraci Pizza is a community-service project committed to making the best pizza anywhere. Our Wedgwood store has a small, very comfortable dining room with about 20 seats. Our foods are real; fresh, healthy and wow! delicious. We never cut corners – and are extremely grateful for all the love that people given to us – in 15 years of being in business.

Thin-crust pies are made in a wood-fired oven at this casual pizzeria, also offering fresh pasta.

Great, cozy neighborhood pizzeria with excellent food and friendly service. I ordered the food ahead on the phone and it was ready by the time I arrived.

Pizzas were flavorful…dough wasn’t too crispy and they had plenty of toppings. We also got a regular Caesar salad and their homemade dressing was fantastic.

I was staying in the Wedgewood area for a few days. I stopped in to get a gluten free pizza. (I have celiac.) They were wonderful to me. They prepared and cooked my pizza separately from the rest. I don’t remember the special I had but it was delicious. I ate the leftovers for lunch the next day. I didn’t have any issues with my celiac.
Thanks so much for a great pizza!

Gone down hill over the years. Figured ordering ahead of time would be convenient one both sides. Showed up 15 minutes early, I understand it hasn’t been started. Waited in my car for twenty minutes. When I come in he says it’s in the oven..okay. I sit down inside for another 20 minutes before I get his attention and he asks me if I’m waiting for a pizza. Kidding me man. My pizza was getting old in a box. There was maybe two people who walked in while I was waiting entire time and one group already eating when I first arrived. Over one hour for one large pizza ordered online ahead of time. Forty minutes from when I was first walked in and the kid said he will start it. Last time for me

Pizza was mediocre. I’ve had better on my quest to find the best pizza in seattle. Front desk was helpful and staff was nice!

seriously the best gluten free pizza in town!! I always get the green dahlia— I’ve never gotten sick from any gluten contamination, they always go above and beyond to insure there is the least amount of gluten contamination possible. We meet Mike today, who makes the dough early before they open, since there is NO wheat flour floating in the air. I always appreciate the extra effort and kindness from this epic pizza restaurant!

Not worth a return visit. Overpriced salad lacking ingredients beyond romaine and lackluster wine (single serving bottle). Paper plates. Better pizza elsewhere in the northeast neighborhoods .

Atmosphere of a fast food restaurant without shade control on windows.

I’ve been frequenting this Veraci’s for years. Recently this location has been experiencing issues. The pizzas aren’t completed but notifications are sent saying the pizza is ready. The staff looks very confused and ignore customers as they walk in. Lastly, the pizzas are undercooked and gooey. They’re charred appropriately, but not fully cooked all the way through. Veraci’s pizza used to have a little crisp, but this is no longer the case. I was hoping after waiting a few months that this would no longer be the case, but they’re still having production problems. I recommend waiting until this location gets their staffing issues resolved before buying from here.

Our favorite pizza, but the service is lacking. I have paid extra for add-ons to my to-go order. When I get home I realize it’s missing. I have called to report the issue, and I have to ask for the refund for the add-ons which is awkward. Normally I would let this go, but the prices are increasing and portions of the salads are decreasing. I wish I could remember to check the order before I leave, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect it to be there when it’s clearly printed on the kitchen tag.

First time there, strange service / interaction with the person at the front, mediocre pizza. Like some of the other comments, the bottom of pizza had too much flour on it. Sat outside which was nice.

Our family’s go-to spot for pizza! Consistently delicious and speedy service. Can’t speak to the atmosphere though, since we always have gotten it to-go.

I don’t typically like artisan thun-crust pizza with ingredients like arugula and prosciutto. But Veraci’s does a solid job! Keep up the great work. Can’t wait to be back again!!
