We’ve been to this restaurant 3 times, twice the food was quite food the first time it was a miss.
We’ve had good experiences ordering wings, burgers and wraps.
The staff generally seems pleasant.
The dining room and bar have kind of strange almost sterile vibe, it doesn’t seem like a comfortable place for some reason.

A nice little “hole in the wall” place that always meets expectations. The cocktails are good but never taste the same twice.
Stopped by for dinner. We had wings, onion rings, and loaded tater tots. Food came out super fast and very hot. All was delicious, wings were on point as usual.
Service was also on point, very rarely have bad service here. Highly recommend stopping in for a drink and some food if you have a chance.

Nice little sports bar. I wouldn’t call it a hole-in-the-wall.
I had Wings, Loaded Nachos and fries. All 3 were excellent! Plenty of sauce on the wing, lots of toppings on the Nachos and plenty of crisp on the fries.
I chose this place randomly cause I didn’t want a chain . If you’re visiting the area stop in Tavern 74, I think you’ll like it

Our server was excellent. Need to find my receipt so I can put his name on here LOL. All the food was yummy. My Mom didn’t really care for the nachos though. Even my friend’s seven year old said said the good was good and she is picky af Will def make this one of our regular spots.

Food here was pretty good the one time I was actually served but the atmosphere wasn’t welcoming at all when it comes to people of color. I thought maybe I just caught one bad waitress having a bad day but my subsequent 2 visits resulted in me feeling the same way. Got denied service at around 11:30-12 at a bar that doesn’t close until 2 am as me and my wife watched other patrons enjoy their drinks and meals in our face. Along with a couple walking in right behind us and being seated. (This I witnessed in my car trying to figure out where to find food.) Tried one last time just to give them the benefit of the doubt and thought id call and just ask if the kitchen was open and I was promptly hung up on. Assuming it was an accident I stayed on the line and I could hear the lady on the other end ( I’m guessing they have a land line) continuously pick up the phone and hang up waiting for me to end the call. For me this was the last straw. My previous visits I only went to have a good time and eat some good food but I was greeted with foul energy and passive aggression. Giving pretty much “whites only” vibes. I wouldn’t advise anyone (especially people of color) to visit this bar.

The last few months since ive tried stopping in this bar for a quick bite or drink I am unable to get served. I’m super polite, patient and a great tipper but there’s a bartender in there now that has decided for whatever reason that she doesn’t want to serve me unless I go in there with my boyfriend. It’s ridiculous and I try to not leave bad reviews but I think the owner should know that their staff ignores selective people from making purchases. I wish they could just be professional and do a good job with everyone and not just who they feel like serving. I sat at the corner of the bar last Saturday and patiently waited while nobody even acknowledged me but still thought whatever, I don’t know everything and it wasn’t until someone came to the bar from a booth to get a drink, stood right next to me and was greeted right away and a girl took her order. I just quietly got up and left. This was atleast the 5th time this has happened. There’s no point in going back it’s just a waste of time and not my idea of a good way to spend my time or money. I’m sorry for whoever has to pay the bills just for the bartenders to treat guests like there uninvited.

Tavern 74 truly made me feel invited. Good atmosphere throughout bar, pool tables, and smoking patio. Although, my timing was quite late for a meal the individual across the bar informed me of what I was still able to order and enjoy. Customer service is quite important to me and they hands down made me feel like royalty I will visit this place before I leave North Carolina five stars all day.
