The original Grey Eagle Taqueria is located inside The Grey Eagle Music Hall in Asheville, NC. We serve traditional-style tacos and so much more. It’s all prepared in-house using fresh ingredients. We have expanded and hope you’ll check us out at one of our new locations. Come see us for lunch or dinner. We’ve got something for everyone — our menu offers gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Top it off with a local brew or fresh-made margarita!

This is a take a whole day or afternoon kind of place. Check the schedule for live music, grab your patio table and never leave kind of joint!
Food is incredible, we all had tacos, chips and guacamole, plantains with sauce, quesadillas and margaritas! Oh let us not forget the saucy burrito that was from another planet. We all were overjoyed with the food. Their special sauces are a must try and unique in flavor. Menu is priced very reasonably. Portions are generous. Food is very tasty and fresh. Highly recommend the brisket taco
The venue is large. Dog friendly; there were several tables with their dogs present. We opted for outside patio and watched the band setup while we shoveled tacos into our faces. Great local low key vibes. Interior and exterior is decorated in a kitchen-cool items.
We had to leave but wanted to stay as long as we could. So don’t be like us, plan better and stay to enjoy it full!

Very cool environment, especially during a show or performance! There’s a nice seating area outside with a small stage, lots of shade and places to chill. The inside also has a nice sized stage and dance area. The food was really great and nice portions but just a bit expensive. I recommend stopping in. The service was kind and friendly, and the food was excellent.

It is a very colorful location. The service was good, prompt, and courteous. My friend said it was one of the top five quesadillas she ever had. Mine was tasty, although it had a lot of juice from the chicken. Everyone in my group was happy with their food. The atmosphere is interesting and keeps you entertained looking at the posters on the wall, the painting, etc. I would highly recommend giving it a try.

Husband and I stopped by for lunch to do our part in helping put a little cash into the Arts District economy after the flood. We were amazed and surprised at the quality of the food and service! The Carnitas was absolutely phenomenal!

Fun taco joint near the river arts district. The empanadas were the bomb, along with their house chips. The spicy chicken burrito was massive and turned into two more meals for my friend (epic). The season beef in my rice bowl was a unflavored unfortunately but overall we had a great experience. The beer is great, staff is friendly, and outdoor seating is lovely. Parking is limited when busy

I had the French Broad Brisket, Gone Fishin’, and the Chips and Queso. Everything was delicious. The Cheerwine Habanero sauce stole the show. An intense and complex sweetness keeps you coming back for more. It pairs so well with the queso!
Additionally, the staff are well put together, efficient, and helpful. The atmosphere is gentle on the senses and inviting.

Stopped in today for a quick snack and was really impressed by the tacos. They were served quickly, had great flavor, and were very generously stuffed. Highly recommend the carnitas but the seasoned beef was also great! Chicken could use more traditional seasoning like cumin, pepper, etc

What a fun night out! We arrived early for a Shawn James show not knowing what to expect. We were greeted by a friendly owner, friendly wait staff at the Taqueria, friendly bartender, and the band performing a sound check! BONUS!! The quesadilla and nachos were filled with flavor and the cocktails were easy to order with virtually no wait throughout the evening. Great little venue hidden in the River Arts District.

the food was just so bad :(( paid $9 for the tiniest cup of guacamole that was just wet pulpy I don’t think there was anything but brown avocado in there. The chips were stale too. The vibes were cool though and the show afterward was great
