Elegant and Minimalist Sushi spot in San Antonio.

Right behind the restaurant there is a parking garage, very convenient when you are in downtown.

This review is going to be bitter-sweet, because I got horrible service at the bar but excellent service at the restaurant.

The bar tender that helped us was very anal about certain things, never smiled and did not know how to speak to customers.

But at the restaurant, the girls were amazing, they really make this place better.

They are a little strict about the happy hour menu and where you can be seated. So if you are ordering from the Happy Hour Menu you cannot sit at the restaurant, you must to sit at the bar or by the sushi chef. Little weird rule.

The food is outstanding and the cocktail excellently crafted.

Perfect for a date, business dinner or a girl night out.

This is hands down the best sushi I’ve had in San Antonio! The quality and taste of the food are absolutely wonderful. This was my third time dining here, and it never disappoints. Everything is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I highly recommend the Kari Salmon sushi. It’s a must try!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Valentine’s Day dinner at Nineteen Hyaku. “Hyaku” means 100—a nod to their address at 1900 Broadway—which felt like a thoughtful detail that set the tone for the evening. It was our first visit, but it certainly won’t be our last.

We arrived a little early for our 5:15 PM reservation (booked through OpenTable) and were promptly seated. Our server, Jaybie R., delivered exceptional service with spot-on menu recommendations. We never felt rushed and were able to truly savor each course: crispy tuna bites, citrus hiramasa, Brussels sprouts, Hyaku gyoza, shumai dumplings, chasu skewer, lemon kani roll, and for dessert, the harumaki cheesecake. Every dish was fresh, creative, and beautifully balanced in flavor. (Apologies for no photos—I was too busy enjoying the experience to remember!)

Parking was easy in the Jefferson Bank building garage, and the restaurant validates. Valet is also available. Signage from the garage to the entrance is somewhat limited, but a helpful security guard pointed us in the right direction. It was a bit chilly inside for my comfort, so I’ll bring a light sweater next time.

An all-around wonderful dining experience—highly recommend for a special night out.

I came here for a work dinner and was completely blown away. Nineteen Hyaku delivers one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in San Antonio. The food is next level—every dish that came out was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The sushi was incredibly fresh and delicate, the gyoza was perfectly crisp with a flavorful filling, and the wagyu was melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The combination fried rice was rich, savory, and the kind of dish you keep going back to even after you’re full.

What really stood out was the attention to detail in everything—the handcrafted sauces, the balance of flavors, and the creative plating. Each dish felt thoughtful and elevated, while still being approachable and absolutely delicious. The green tea dessert at the end was the perfect finish—light, creamy, and unique.

The space itself is modern and elegant, with a clean design and a bar that makes you want to sit and linger. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the staff really knew the menu inside and out, helping guide us through the meal.

Nineteen Hyaku is hands down a must-visit. Whether for sushi, wagyu, gyoza, fried rice, or any of their other crafted plates, this is a restaurant that deserves all the recognition. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish.

This is a very cool restaurant. There is an upstairs that opens to the extremely high ceilings. The dining room downstairs is quite large with a variety of seating options (tables, booths). The bar on your right when you first enter is gorgeous and they make delicious cocktails. One star off for noise as the very high ceilings make for a loud atmosphere. The sushi, while delicious, is a little bit small portion wise for the price you are paying. Overall I would recommend this restaurant as a good sushi spot in town

My husband and I celebrated my birthday here last night, wanted to try something new. It’s quite an experience. Hunter took very good care of us, stellar service. The food was equally fantastic. Love the atmosphere as well. We had an assortment of items and drinks. The shishito peppers were excellent – best rendition of the appetizer I’ve had from any sushi restaurant. Hard to pick a favorite item, but none disappointed. I hope to come back and try other items. Thank you, Hunter, and Nineteen Hyaku

Soft lights, minimalist styling, cozy feeling. Food was beautifully prepared, and even loved the Japanese roasted brussel sprouts with crunch topping. Service staff was short, but made up for it working to please clients. Never had a sushi dinner this good, and surprise warm sushi. The menu is full of new options, every one delish.

Sadly, an average sushi spot marked as upscale with high end pricing. The atmosphere is beautiful, which makes it rough that their food is plain. Sushi rolls came out a bit dry, no soy sauce available, and the gyoza was overcooked. Upscale pricing, very mediocre food. Would not recommend.

My second time at Nineteen Hyaku, and I’m already looking forward to my third and forth. The atmosphere was on point, the food was tasty, and on time. The server was patient and courteous. She checked in on us very often.

I definitely recommend dining here. The experience is top notch and unforgettable. A+
