The atmosphere was clean and beautiful. I was offered an explanation of the menu, as this was my first time dining in. After the guidance of the order taker (Dana), I was referred to the deliciousness of the chicken platter over rice. (Sorry I was hungry before the review).

Amazing food and great service.

This is one of the best food trucks in Tampa!! We eat here several times a month because the food is so delicious. Everything we order, we love. The regular and chicken gyros, the shwarma wraps, the burger, the wings, the shwarma tacos, and of course, the hummus (our favorite). The flavor of the hummus and olive oil they use is so good. The chef is always friendly and we can tell he takes pride in good tasting, quality food. The price is reasonable for the quality and amount given. We are so happy we found this food truck and will continue to return!

This costs me $21.69 which is more expensive than The cheescake Factory. And taste??? Not fresh and horrible.

Delicious food does not mean a big place, quality tables and chairs. It is just how you cook and do it. This place is just what I wanted. Ive eaten in a few halal places in Tampa but this was the best. Chicken gyro really awesome. Definitely will visit here mostly after this time.

Was visiting Tampa and found this great chicken and rice. Flavors were great and we loved the garlic sauce that came with it. Would come again!

This place is soooo good. It’s prepared fresh so you’ll have to wait a few minutes but so worth the short wait for mouth watering food. I had the Philly and it was so fresh and full of flavor!! The fries were excellent too. Also I want to know where they get their bread it was light and delicious! Love this place!

It’s really delicious, haven’t seen anything like this around this area except one restaurant in Downtown but this is a cool cart with halal food.

Quite busy during evenings though, order ahead in phone to not stay waiting for long!

My son has been living just around the corner here in Tampa. On my many previous visits, I stopped to chat with the owner, but always just after dinner.

I was driving by tonight and finally stopped in to order food. I had the lamb shwarma and it was FANTASTIC. His food truck is a nice mustard yellow and really stands out, just like the outstanding food that he serves.

The owner is very friendly and accommodating, offering items not seen on his banner menu. My only regret is not having been hungry on the many late night walks we took. I wish I knew how excellent the food was that is served here much sooner than I just discovered. I will never visit Tampa again without making a trip to eat here once again and have a friendly chat with the owner. If you like halal food, this is the place to stop.

What’s Up Halal is open quite late in the evening, which makes it even better. Late night or otherwise, this place really hits the spot.

Steak rice bowl was tasty and spicey, generous portion didn’t skimp on the steak, thank you!

Im shocked this place got so many good reviews, from the attitude of the guy to the quality of food is wack. The length it took the guy to cook the tacos didnt even melt the cheese. On top of it everything is way overpriced. Halal food is meant to be reasonable and amazing food. This guy wanted to sell the chicken bowl when they don’t even have rice because of their cooker failing. Stay away. Go to fire up halal in tampa or big apple fried in Pinellas, youll have the true authentic halal food and the ny street style quality you’re looking for.
