I would give this place negative stars if I could. It’s expensive $18.50 for white rice and a main dish. I ordered chicken saag. I was given rice chicken vindaloo with a little spinach on the side. I brought the food back to the cashier and explained this is not what I ordered. She said that is what it is, chicken vindloo and saag on the side. I knew it eas that because my friend ordered chicken vindaloo. It didnt even taste good anyhow. The cashier stated the only difference was the spinach wasn’t blended. I said no, chicken saag is chicken stewed in the saag not separate items. She argued with me and continued to say the same thing. I asked for a refund and she continued to tell me different places make it differently. She kept saying that’s what you ordered. It’s ridiculous. I said if that’s what you’re giving people then you need to change the name and the picture. Then another worker came over and said we’re just workers and don’t control the food or signs. The two if them started talking to each which appeared as if she was telling her she gave me the wrong thing. But she never admitted it and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a long time. The workers are rude and clueless. Please save your money and go somewhere else. Small portion, high cost, didn’t taste good, and horrible service. The urban hawker is hot, crowded, and doesn’t have much seating. The seating is very uncomfortable.

Awful food! We had chana wrap, chicken tikka and samosa sixer wrap. All the items were cold, did not even warm the naans, no flavor or taste in any of dish! Way expensive!

avoid unless you want to waste $20. only one thing available from menu which was chicken tikka masala, which was in fact chucked in a bowl from the side and thrown in the microwave – to still be cold, chicken seemed undercooked and I didn’t want to risk illness so didn’t eat. the bit I did try just tasted like chicken in ketchup. RUBBISH

Food itself (butter chicken) was mediocre, overpriced (18.50) smallish portion is what I expected for midtown these days. The flavor however was on the bland side. Reason to push this all the way to a 1 is that they could not make change for my $20 and asked to short me the difference. I asked if they took cash beforehand, and assumed that meant they could process this transaction. Beyons that, the store bot being able to make change, should not be on the customer.

Butter chicken bowl and chicken somosa. Somosa was soggy, reheated in microwave. “Butter chicken” seemed sweetened for American palate, not spiced as this dish usually is. Fine if you just want a fast bite. Not especially satisfying.

This is not the Indian food you find
in Singapore. The food here is insanely AWFUL! Got a side palak paneer. It had a red sauce from too many . It was very salty, you couldn’t taste anything else. Also the paneer was not browned at all. The chicken samosa was all heat, it drowned the taste. I brought the food back to the cashier, because it was inedible, and when I looked at the name of the stall, I had an aha moment. They also have a stall in Urbanspace a block up on W 52 where I also had a bad experience in the past. How could I forget? I won’t now. Please do not waste your money here. There are other places in Midtown for decent Indian food.

Do not eat here, they are scammers. My friend ordered a chicken wrap and we waited over 20 minutes for it to come out. When we went to check on the status of her order and showed the cashiers the receipt, they said that it wasn’t hers and that she had picked the receipt up from the bathroom and was trying to get free food. The cashier who took my friend’s order stood there the whole time and acted stupid like she had never seen us before when we confronted them. My friend showed them her literal bank statement to prove that she had paid for the food and they still wouldn’t make it for her. I told them to cross-check the last four digits off the card on the receipt with the last four of my friend’s card, which they refused to do. They ended up remaking it after their coworker who was on break intervened and said she had made the wrap and put it in the fridge, but they never apologized for the misunderstanding. The way my friend was treated and gaslit as a paying customer was honestly disgusting and I will be telling all of my coworkers to avoid eating here.

I ordered the butter chicken and rice and asked if I could have a side portion of the palak paneer.i asked if it was spicy and was told no. I had to repeat the order three times and I was still almost served the wrong thing. I was charged $50 for those two dishes and a samosa. The paneer was so spicy it had no taste but heat. I love spicy food but this was too much and had to give up eating it. The butter chicken was COLD. as if it just came from the fridge. I went back to tell them and was told ‘no it’s not’! I asked if I could have some hot chicken and was told there was nothing they could do. The rice was oily. The samosa was nice but I will never return to this stall. The food my friends got at other places in Urban Hawker was deliciously. I just made the wrong choice… and paid dearly for it!

I feel like the other reviewers might’ve been overly critical. I enjoyed this butter chicken bowl, which looked & tasted like chicken tikka masala w/ butter simmer sauce added to it. I liked that combination of flavors, though I’m certainly not any kind of Indian cuisine connoisseur.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Avoid this place at all costs. It’s expensive and the food is inedible. I ordered the chicken tikka wrap and it looks nothing like the picture. The naan is doughy and it so was full of their pre-made chicken tikka masala that it became completely soggy. They also refused to give empty cups for water?
