What’s really cool about Jersey Mike’s is that they slice the deli meat when you order the sandwich. It’s very fresh.
The team at the Ashbrook Commons location is fantastic. They are consistently fast, incredibly friendly, and they never miss a beat. Being gluten-free, I’m always a bit cautious, but their ‘Sub in a Tub’ is my absolute go-to. It’s fresh, delicious, and they handle the GF prep with care. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who needs a high-quality meal on the move as a healthier alternative to fast food!
Bacon was inedible and they didnt add any condiments that were ordered.
Let’s start with the sandwich. I ordered a #13 The Original Italian, Mike’s Way, and wow… the flavor was next-level. The meats were sliced fresh right in front of me, and you could tell everything—from the provolone to the layers of salami, pepperoni, and ham—was top quality. The bread was soft but held up perfectly, and the vinegar/oil blend with oregano and salt just brought everything together. Each bite had that perfect crunch from the shredded lettuce and onion, and the flavor just kept building. It was balanced, fresh, and satisfying in a way that’s hard to describe. You don’t expect this kind of quality from a sandwich chain, but Jersey Mike’s nailed it.
Now, the service—this is where I was really impressed. There was a girl working behind the counter with curly hair (I wish I had caught her name) who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. She had a genuine smile and made me feel like a regular, even though it was my first time at that location. She took the time to ask how I liked my sandwich, made sure it was prepared exactly how I wanted, and handled everything with care. You could tell she actually cared about the food she was making and the people she was serving. That kind of attitude makes such a difference in a quick-service place—it turns a lunch stop into a memorable experience.
I left full, happy, and genuinely impressed. Jersey Mike’s has definitely earned a repeat customer. If you’re in the area and want a sandwich made with care and heart, this is the place. And if you see the girl with the curly hair behind the counter—know you’re in excellent hands.
