Burger was just okay, honestly nothing to write home about. I would even say its kinda overpriced for what you get. I was disappointed in the lack of cleanliness. It wasn’t busy, someone could have cleaned the dirty bathroom or wiped down the tables that look like they haven’t been touched all day. When you look at the bathroom log it says last time they cleaned was the 12th and honestly it looks like it. Both bathrooms say employee only, which is weird because it’s right where the customers are and they’re unlocked. Either lock the doors and take the bathroom signs off or clean the bathroom. Out of everything I had, the Cajun fries were the best thing I had and I felt they were fairly priced, and crispy! If the owners cared they would put more effort into making their restaurant look more clean. Also the touch order pad looked kinda dirty. Please sweep and mop regularly. I also was disappointed at the lack of customization for building your own burger. How come I can’t put bacon or jalapenos on it?

These burgers are insane!.
You must try them at least once in your life.
So so good.
We also had the spicy chicken burgers.. They’re perfectly seasoned and prepared.

My wife was craving burgers, so we decided to give the place a try. Honestly, the burgers were average; the buns had a weird smell—I couldn’t tell what it was. The loaded fries were terrible. The fries were so crispy that our mouths were hurting, and the chicken on the fries was very crispy for no reason. I was happy to see a halal place, but the food was very disappointing!!

I was pleasantly surprised with my visit to Halal Buns. I ordered my food through the site and by the time I arrived, my food was immediately given to me. The presentation was perfect, from the store, to the package, to the food. The flavor of the food was great, I had the Big Boy Burger and it definitely will satisfy your appetite by offering a triple patty burger with special sauce. The mozzarella sticks were what you could expect, not amazing but not bad either. Their breaded wings were okay, but I recommend you eat them quickly otherwise they get a little soggy. Anyway, overall, very pleased with my visit and I will like to come again in the future

This review is based on a recent poor experience we had while ordering delivery through their website. We placed an order, through their website, to be delivered at 2:00. When the order did not arrive by 3:00 and we hadn’t heard from anyone about its status, we called Halal Buns to cancel the order.

The person who answered refused to cancel the order and claimed that Uber picked up the order at 1:20 to deliver to us. It’s important to note we ordered through the Halal Buns website – NOT UBER. Also, we did not receive any status messages stating the order was picked up at 1:20. The person from Halal Buns said they would remake the order if we came to pick it up, so we headed over there to do so.

When we arrived at Halal Buns at 3:20, we received a message stating the order was picked up and on its way. After we picked up the order from Halal Buns, we received a message stating that the order was canceled. Someone pocketed the delivery fee and tip (for a delivery service that was not completed) because we were still charged the full amount despite having to pick up the order. Halal Buns should have at the very least refunded the delivery fee and tip that we left when ordering (tip was left on the basis of DELIVERY – not having to DRIVE OVER and pick up the order).

In conclusion, DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM THE HALAL BUNS WEBSITE. There is either something scammy going on or their delivery arrangement is clearly not working smoothly. My concern is Halal Buns made delivery an option through their website. The fact that they outsource that delivery service to Uber, and Uber messed up is not my problem. I was interacting with Halal Buns, so it’s up to Halal Buns to make it right. See photos for receipts of everything that has been stated.

What a great choice for fast casual halal food! CCSU students are lucky to have such a convenient place close by, especially for late night cravings. We enjoyed the aloha smash burger and chopped cheese hot dog, and also found out there were a couple secret menu items, like the red velvet milkshake and dessert waffle. Everyone was friendly and the food was prepared quickly. Definitely a great spot to know about for tasty halal options.

Halal Buns has nice range of products. Food is tasty but the serving size seems really small. They’ve to step up to survive in this competitive world.

New Halal Burger and Wing place that just opened up, located next to CCSU. The place is slightly hidden away on the ground floor in the back of the building. In front of the building, you’ll see Dunkin Donuts, Domino’s, and Subway.

There are enough free parking spots.

There are a few tables for the dine in option.

You can place the order via the kiosk or at the counter.

The prices are slightly high but expected due to it being a smashburger place and not a frozen patty.

Now, coming to the food, I had ordered the Fuego Burger, Buffalo Wings, Fries, and Salaam Soda.

The Fuego burger was very good, lots of flavor, and more importantly, it tasted fresh.
Wings and Fries were good as well, fried to correct temperature and time.
Revisited on 06/15/2025 with family.
Good to see the quality of the food is retained.
They’re adding a party area which can probably seat additional about 30 to 50 people. Lounge area is looking good.

I am looking forward to trying some of the other items on the menu in the near future.

Where do I start? This is my 4th time coming here and I have to say the burgers are so good, I forget to take photos of them the last few times and just ate them right away. The Smash Burgers are amazing, juicy, and filling. Fries are nice and crispy. My favorites so far are the Juicy Lucy and the Big Boy if I am really hungry. I love how they added more buns to choose from the first day. It’s definitely a great spot to take your friends and family out. Very homey environment. I will be coming again to try the shakes, chicken sandwich, and wings. This is my staple burger spot right now.
