Service was great, but the shrimp was hard to peel like that had been cooked too long and the potatoes were not done. They were hard. They did give you a lot of shrimp. I hope to try it again to see if it was just a bad day. The shrimp and grits was good and the gumbo was good.

Face it – there’s not many seafood options around middle GA. This one is good! If you want to get your fix go grab some fresh oysters or Gulf Shrimp. Grab a beer. Relax and enjoy. This place isn’t fancy, it’s not supposed to be. If you blink, you’ll miss it, but the locals know about it. Service can be a little on the slower side, but just relax and enjoy it because it’s worth it to get quality seafood. Owners are friendly too.

My wife and I and another couple came for dinner here. We arrived at 1730 and there was no wait; we were seated right away. I ordered the grilled salmon, my wife had the chicken. The food was outstanding! My salmon was the best I have had in a long time. The new potatoes as a side are delicious. The garlic bread, the cheese grits…all of it was amazing. The service was absolutely excellent as well. The server was friendly and attentive. This was our first time visiting, but it won’t be the last!! Loved it!

Best seafood, period!! It doesn’t get any better than the fish peddler! The owner is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met and his staff are all awesome!! This is my family’s favorite restaurant, as you can tell by this post! . No matter what you order, get it blackened! The seasoning is amazing!! If you’re local to the area or just passing through, go and support a wonderful local business that is worthy of your money and patronage!!

My husband & I really enjoyed our 1st visit here. Ordered the Cajun platter (a special) & the Cajun boil with crawfish & shrimp. We also tried the salmon dip as an appetizer & really liked it. It was smokey & lightly seasoned to let the salmon itself stand out. The staff were really nice & hospitable too.
You seem to get a lot of food should you order a boil. (So, be prepared to sit a little bit.)
My only complaint was that the red beans & rice were over seasoned, a bit salty for myself. The seasoning was good just not enough beans or rice to balance it out it seemed. Everything else was delicious, especially the shrimp. Firm, slightly sweet & not over cooked.

The food is AMAZING. I especially like the health awareness of this establishment because they do not fry anything. Everything is boiled, grilled, or steamed. The staff and owner all posses that southern charm. Nice family friendly environment. This is a stop you won’t regret. My mother who isn’t big on seafood loved her food and talked very highly of it, that’s how good the food is.

I’ve always went out of town for seafood. Not realizing there was better seafood right here in town. We ate there last night and the food was great and the staff was just as great! I will be eating there more often. I couldn’t believe I ate the whole dozen of oyster Rockefeller, half a pound of big red shrimp, and a whole pound of snow crab legs with the sides. You have to try this place out!!! There was about a 20 min wait and there’s not much room to park but it’s worth the wait. Don’t let any of the negative reviews stop you from trying it. It almost stopped me but I’m glad I didn’t let it. Nothing is fried at all in this place. Well maybe the bacon if your meal happens to have bacon. You won’t be disappointed!
