Fabulous smoothies. Delicious coffee. Great selection for food. Highly recommend a visit.
The food was alright for the price. Nothing really stood out as unique. Tried both the Construction Club and Farmhouse sandwich along with their chicken noodle soup. The light roast coffee wasn’t that great, but the Honey Latte was flavourful.
Overall, neat vibe that allows you to seat yourself either inside or out. Good sized menu and not a super long wait. Pretty cool coffee shop for the area.
Since my first review, I’ve been back several times. Unfortunately, they no longer seem able to make a respectable latte. What you now get for a London Fog Tea Latte is a drink with some dry foam on top and warm, flat milk underneath.
Because I know they used to make these correctly, I took my drink back and asked about it. Long story short, they have replaced their original machines with manual steam wands and switched to “new and improved” machines that use automatic steaming. You place the wand in the milk, push a button, and voilà… a cup of lifeless hot milk. Dry foam on top, little to no texture below.
It’s fast, and I can see how it works well for a drive-through model. But it’s a real disappointment for anyone who appreciates a properly textured latte with that smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Even with these machines, better texture is possible, but it takes more time and attention. When speed becomes the priority, quality is usually what suffers.
The one consolation is that their Coffee Cake Muffins are still amazing.
Original: Love coffeeville. I like a lot of coffee shops, and the idea of gathering with friends and chatting over a cup of something hot or cold. The drinks are very good. The food menu is a great selection of breakfast foods, sandwiches, and salads. The bakery cake items are all very good as well. I gave it 5 stars with the exception of service, which I gave a 4. The reason is that the service is normally good, but it’s not consistent. Perhaps it the due to the volume of business or the lack or training or something else.
Today we ordered several drinks, and they simply forgot to make one of the ice teas. After waiting I informed the cashier and they were able to make it, although that took some more time. We got all the food items before the drink was finally made. We weren’t looking for any specific compensation, but in some other places when this happens they will comp you for your next drink, free. Just an idea. Other than that hitch, it was all good.
Very friendly staff, the 2 ladies working were fun to chat with.
I loved the look and feel of the building, very rustic, log cabin vibe. Lots of seating on the main floor, picnic tables out front. Looked like you could go upstairs but we didn’t. They have a drive thru but since it was our first time here we decided to go inside. Lots of parking behind the building.
I would highly recommend stopping by, we don’t get through the area often but we’ll definitely stop by when we do, looking forward to trying more of their menu options.
The interior is very warm and inviting. Their lighting is very nicely done with beautiful modern chandeliers which somehow don’t seem out of place with the rustic building.
I ordered a tuna roll-up with chips, a bother water, and a chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Once I sat down I realized I didn’t know the wifi password which I wish was more prominently displayed. I also had to go back to the counter as they’d forgotten to include my cookie. Both things were quickly remedied.
The sandwich was very good and generously sized, and the cookie made a great dessert. I never got to the chips as I was stuffed by that point. Though I did not try the coffee it smelled very good and their machines were high quality. The barista seemed to know what she was doing, too, as I watched her pull several shots.
Prices were not inexpensive though servings were large. I am not from the area but will go back next time I pass by.
