Lolita’s on Rosemead in El Monte is always a solid choice, but their shrimp burritos on Sundays are on another level. All of their food is consistently good—fresh, flavorful, and well-made—but those Sunday shrimp burritos are easily the star of the menu. They’re packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and definitely worth stopping by for. If you’re in the area and want something delicious, Lolita’s never disappoints.

Wow, I’m impressed. I ordered two simple breakfast burritos over the phone, and after waiting over an hour, I received them with eggshells in one and no cheese in the other. I mean, who needs cheese in a breakfast burrito, right? And eggshells add a nice crunch. I’m just glad I didn’t ask for anything special, or it might have taken two hours.
The gentleman did apologize for the wait but come on over a hour and I called in the order .
Or maybe it’s just the weekend rush

Update 12/14/22

A real gem hidden away in a gas station. Been a while due to Covid, but was in the office this week and was craving Milanesa. I actually tried Tito’s first, but they close at 3pm these days! Thankfully, Lolita stats open until 5pm and readily take phone orders.

My usual is the Milanesa, but also tried the sub and it actually hit the spot! They usually make it with ham and turkey, but ran out of turkey so added salami instead. Frankly, that combo is more like the subs I’m used to and was fine by me. Both were great and huge for the price. Will be back again and again for the service, ability to order ahead and food.

Couldn’t decide between a milanesa torta (my usual), chicharron burrito or a carnitas burrito so I ordered the torta and a burrito with both kinds of meat. Boy was it good and boy was it too much food for one guy. I knew I would have left overs, but I actually gave half my torta to my GF and still had most of my amazing burrito for dinner.

The torta itself is huge and delish. Always made to order, so I suggest you call ahead. They prefer it if you do as well. The burrito with a mix of tender carnitas and spicy chicharron was something I have tried at other places before but never here. It was amazing.

It’s a little hard to find due to the location being in the gas station, but once you do, you will be hooked.

Overpriced. Old Chips. Went back here after a while and ordered chilaquiles; they used old chips and the price for carne asada ($5) was for a very small portion. Croissants and Sandwiches are overpriced as well. Will never return.

Also there was discrimination based on me being light skinned and they were trash talking me in Spanish (although I’m fluent).

There is also a lack of places to sit; I had to sit outside on the floor. Terrible location and food. Go somewhere else.

It’s tastes good and overall the food was alright. Pretty cool place if you live nearby but not worth driving to if it’s out of your way. Don’t let the hype online give you high expectations.

I came here with high expectations. I see this place hyped up online on instagram and people talking about how good it is but I thought overall the sandwiches were alright. I got the carnitas sandwich and I wasn’t the biggest fan of how hard the bread is. The carnitas tasted a little bland and I felt like the sandwich was just a little to spicy because the spice overpowered the rest of the sandwich.

Price isn’t too bad. $11 for a big sandwich is good value. Tacos are pricey at around $3 but they were pretty big and the tortilla were good. Overall this place isn’t bad. It’s good but definitely not as good as the hype online makes it out to be. It’s worth checking out if your local.

Went in today for a Sunday lunch to go! The toasted sesame seeds burst with flavor when I took a bite of the Milanesa torta. This sandwich paired well with an ice cold modelo. Service was great and there is a small wait mostly because everything is made fresh to order. After todays visit their isn’t really a reason to return to Tito’s. Hours vary on the weekend’s so check the times before heading out. We will be returning for their chilaquiles because they looked pretty amazing. There isn’t any seating as this small gem is located inside a gas station convenience store, it’s worth a try and the time. weekdays they open as early as 6am and they do Uber eats.

Food was good. Breakfast burritos were huge and good. Carnitas burritos was good. I would order ahead, food takes a bit to make. Breakfast burritos had a lot of potatoes. Overall I would come back. Got sauce had decent heat. The tortas are popular and I need to try that next time.

Lolita’s Torta de Milanesa was super delicious. Next time I will ask for extra Jalapeño sauce and mayo since it was very lightly coated, I wish they added lettuce though. The ladies cooking it up were the sweetest!
